It's a 2 and 1/2" long x 1/4" thick plate of steel. It's slid between two pieces of wood at the top.

what lengths of wood did you guys use? mine is due in a week and i like this one.

I thought this would be a floating arm trebuchet this is better though where did you get the plans to build this?

It is essentially a modified floating arm trebuchet. It was designed completely by us.
