  • Its such an amazing and interesting design. i am getting an all matching DWM p08 with matching magazines manifactured in 1910 in december when my permit gets through the system. i live in denmark.

  • @koedstorm You are incredibly lucky to be acquiring a pistol like that if it's all matching. Looking forward to a video at least!

  • @koedstorm you are so lucky i wish i could collect these old weapons ( i live in denmark too)

  • I want one <3 :(

  • why would you put it on the clamps like that it could scrach the gun

  • @zero48411 Nah, didn't scratch anything. It was not clamped hard. This is my non-matching shooter Luger. It's not that I don't care for it, but the pieces of wood I would normally use would have blocked the view of the frame and spring, as well as the Luger frame not being perfectly flat at the base where the grip screws go, would not have rested as necessary to shoot for the vid. Don't worry, no Luger was harmed in the making of the vid. This Luger was also refinished some time ago.

  • @marshalzhukov That's great! I had no idea that spring kits were available. When I was young, my father had a beautiful, early production Luger. We used to shoot it often. I believe it is the most ergonomic point-shooter ever. I love it for the wonderful machining and craftsmanship. I would love to have one myself, in any condition. Cheers!

  • @Tanrichguy They are fantastic weapons. I agree, the most ergonomic point-shooter ever. They are hands down my favorite pistol too. I mean, it's not my daily shooter, but I love to shoot it. Let me tell you, that spring kit really tightened it up well! I tell everyone that says anything about weak springs to get the kit from Wolff. Awesome! Take care :)

  • @Tanrichguy any condition? i have one 9mm its some kind of damaged (the paint) i doesnt have the rear sights aaaaaand caskets keep jamming after a shot, i think the casket extractor doesnt wants to work.

ps. i have it on mexico xD

how much do u offer xD

  • @arkraven Thanks but I have recently acquired one of my own. I will be posting a video of it soon.

  • Man, that thing looks rough. You know what? That's ok! A wonderful piece of engineering and a pleasure to shoot. Thanks for sharing!

  • @Tanrichguy Yea, it does, and it is a little rough. But let me tell you after I installed the spring kit on it, boy did it tighten it up and it functions great! Even replaced one of the weak mag springs. Shoots like a champ now!

  • Excellent Video. Very well done explanation.

  • good

  • Man I love the Luger, I had a 1920 commercial but traded it on a Inglis HP because I didn't like it being a 30 cal. To hard to find ammo... would love to find a 9mm though. This one guy on a local gun forum is trying to sell a 1918 DWM Luger in 9mm with two mags but one is aftermarket by mec gar and the original mag I am told from guys on the Lugerforum has a replacement base plate. But I still wanna try to get it. His asking price is $800 or partial trades for guns plus cash. >_<

  • @xxBleedxxLikexxMexx Well price doesn't sound too bad depending on condition. And bore condition if you were going to consider shooting it. Working on this artillery Luger right now and it's going much slower than I'd prefer it to. One of these days I'll get it blued and back together!

  • No soft jaws or even a cloth in the vise to prevent marking the gun!! Shocking Marshal,I thought you would have protected it from the vise jaws!

  • @silver760 If this were my double stamp DWM, then I would have used something in the jaws. This 1918 Erfurt is my shooter Luger as it is non-matching. I suppose I could have found some wood to place in the vise. It's not that I don't care for it, or I'd leave it out side unprotected or anything like that. It was unharmed in the making of this video! It wasn't held super tight either so rest easy :)

  • @MarshalZhukov I'd never put any gun in a vise without protection unless I hated it.

  • @partsproduction As you can see in the video, when the barrel was in the vice, it was protected. The frame of the pistol was not harmed in the vice, as the vice was not tight enough to mark, mar or warp it. It was being used to hold it in place for demonstrational purposes. It is my shooter Luger, and my wood panels I use in the vice for situations like that would cover parts of the frame that would impede full viewing of the recoil spring. No worries!

  • I don't own one but shot several; and they are such beauties too shoot.

    The handeling, man man.

But deffenitly not good for quick target practice..lol.

  • Thanks for this demontration, very nice to see how this piece works.

  • nice luger!

  • remember dont over oil they also dont like extream cold

  • @madmac451 Well, fortunately I don't have to worry about extreme colt here in the PNW! It doesn't get very cold in the safe!
