i went up here with my friends last night. this was my first experience and i was hoping to see something that night. when we looked up at the top on the right side we saw a shadow, it was a figure of a woman, you could see her dress flapping around. she would step to the ledge and go back and step up again. this went for a couple of minutes until we saw her walk off the edge and slowly fall until she vanished in mid air. this would repeat itself and it was very freaky

@XxStratAttackxX Yeah theres rumors that the buildings that are apart of the state asylum are haunted and i dont doubt places like that being haunted numbers of people died there

I was there one night and you could hear someone walking on the dry leaves, but there was no one there. I will say that the place has settled down a lot since they had a ceremony to honor and finally name many of the patients buried there - 1,100 total they claim. Also, one night when I was there, my radio went dead as we approached the building.

I live in topeka also. that place is realy creepy. My friend saw a figure standing in the top window, it was starring strate at him.

i was a patient there back in 83-86 because i was a incorrigable teeanager and my mother didnt want me any more ( that was the norm back then) i still remember it vividly, it was horrible capital city high school sucked too

dont bother trying to go in, Kansas Highway Patrol has a response time of <5min and they bring the dogs. the buildings are also filled with motion alarms that go directly to the police.

It's people like you who'd do that an ruin it for the rest of us actually wanting to look at these things. I am very interested in things like this, esp. my home town Topeka, I've not been able to go in an actually investigate it because some idiots have trashed whatever. I have been to this building when I was younger however and remember an open door. when I pushed on the door w/my sister helping it wouldnt budge then just slammed shut and inside we heard knocking noises.  It scared us lol.
