@ghostwhiskey the gig was random, we had the cd thats all (better than nevermind or badmotorfinger in my book) well, the support was Paw (rocked). But A&M had put money into the band and mm's pa was mad up of rack after rack of late 60's/early 70's tube gear. like, smithsonian institute exhibit, american strength acid rock band arsenal. Fck knows how moch it was worth but we spoke to the band before the gig and they were reverant of it. Like, ooooo. and like, ahhh- check what this does.

You know, so many great hard rock bands either came out or hit it big in the 90s: Nirvana, S'garden, Tool, P' Jam, AIC, Faith No More, Jane's Addiction, Chili Peppers, STP, Rage, Green Day, Offspring, S. Pumpkins, Weezer, Everclear, Danzig, White Zombie, NIN, Pantera, Ministry, Fear Factory, Warrior Soul, Type O, and Monster Magnet. Obviously, some were more popular than others, but my point is: ROCK MUSIC TODAY IS DEAD. I like White Stripes and High On Fire, but that's it.

I'll never forget seeing this video for the first time, especially since the idiots at MTV forgot to throw the artist/song information at the beginning or end. It wasn't until they made a video for Negasonic Teenage Warhead a year later that I knew what the band was called. That was a rough year playing this riff in guitar class with people asking "What are you playing man?" and only being able to say "I just don't know.". The point of my story is Monster Magnet FTW!!!!

I had pretty much given up on finding out who it was. I was checking out different jiu jitsu schools and I walked into one and they were blasting Twin Earth while working out. That was a solid tipoff that I had found the right place.
