@bitchasswolfboy Ughh, this argument that 'abel is charlie' was common at the very beginning of his release, but its already been disproven by too many factors. It wouldn't change his fighting style, and he actually said he was rescued by someone fitting Charlie's description, and many other factors I could list.

That does not mean that Charlie isn't potentially alive. One of Seth's moves he copied was the one-handed sonic boom, not Guile's. Shadaloo or S.I.N. could have Charlie stashed away.

In canon, Charlie was assumed dead when contact was lost with him at the time of M. Bison's defeat between Street Fighter 1 and 2. No body was ever recovered. The grave is a memorial. There's no coffin.

I was also wondering why to be honest (no memories etc...), and i took a look at Remy wikia page. I think it's highly possible that he could be Remy's father (Charlie rescue Abel and possibly his family (Abel knowledges about sonic boom)-> Remy learn his technique highly similar to sonic boom), it could explain everything, and capcom choice to the very beginning of the character creation.

@bitchasswolfboy Check on the SFwiki, it is said that Abel was one of Bison's replacement bodies. The body #1 was supposed to be stronger and better than the other bodies, but the project failed. The body became independent and ran away, and reappeared under the name of Abel.

Seth is also one of Bison's bodies, the #15. He too rebelled and is somehow related to Abel, so this explains Abel's eyes changing when he uses Soulless.

You can look it up, the only person he remembers beyond his memory loss, not counting the movies of Fei Long he recently watched, was Zangief, his national hero. He was in fact based completely, face and outfit, by Comrade Fedor the Russian Mixed Martial arts expert

At the very first, he was Bison's experimental project for a perfect body, but with all the tests he endured, he became "human-like".

@Stiengrabber Highly disproven. In Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter IV, Abel is looking for a family, but in SFIII: Third Strike, Remy is already a teenager, if not older. He's way too old then for it to even be possible in canonical sense, because if he WAS rescued by Charlie, which is also highly speculative, as Charlie(Nash) died in Alpha series, then there wouldn't be enough time between Alpha and SFIII for him to raise a child, as its only about perhaps 8-10 years, (cont. above)
