  • @tiatdivad Can you please explain more what rhodiola did for you?

  • i liked the video, it is short and to the point about the herbs i wanted to know about. i have a few comments on the video though. there were no olympics in 1991. summer games happen every 4 years. the reason russian athletes were such fierce competitors back in the iron curtain days is due to steroids, plain and simple testosterone. no one was tested until the mid 80's. once america became aware of the russians using steroids we started using them too and caught up.

  • good description of a little of the science behind the herbs!

  • 1991? That was around the time that FloJo was ruining stuff as well. People predicted that women would soon run as fast as men right? Everyone got tested for steroids but hormone manipulation was a wide open field. Think about why the Chinese womens track and field around that time was so potent...and the mens were not? Simple, injecting high doses of testosterone into women yields faster women, but since exact levels are largely an individual thing, they were impossible to prove at the time.

  • @tiatdivad i found it hard to hit a sweet spot on dosing-- 10% too high and i got massive anxiety

  • good vid...that brutha wise

  • Make sure you get a good brand, it makes a huge difference. Verde Botanica is great!

  • Hey he is using my fav brand of supplements. NOW which stands for Natural Organic and Wholesome. They have won awards for their business practice.

  • I like this guy as he has the main supplement brand that I have used for 15 years. Great compnay NOW which stands for Natural Organic and Wholesome. They have won awards for their business practices.

  • Makes me a little nervous. In nature cordyceps are a parasitic fungus that spreads by infecting the host and taking over its brain........

  • but it only infects insects

  • and not only does it only infect insects, each of the thousand different variations of cordyceps specializes on just one insect. You have nothing to fear.

  • In the health food store it was explained about:

the effect of the Cortisol - the lowering of it, lowing the stress effects. I have not read of the Cortisol in other information. I am taking it for my blood pressure. So I am mentioning it here. - Jessie

  • Does anybody know(in Spartanburg, South Carolina) where to get cordycep mushrooms?

  • I have a lot of cordyceps in hand. Ready to sent to you as nagative dry.

1 kg is 5500 free shiping. We are the main from Phutan.

  • Rhodiola..he says "endurance herb"...more like amphetamines...does sharpen memory...but at a big price..also there is a big let down period...don't take if you're bipolar or in some kind of downer withdawal or you will flip out....legal speed...not adaptogenic at all.

  • What's the big price? does it ravage brain cells? no. You are a bit of a comedian no? yes!

Next you'll be saying not to drink tea because it has cancer causing properties. This herb has saved my life..restored my neurotransmitters and there is evidence that promotes its anti-aging qualities!! how you compare it to hardcore drugs is a bit odd and makes me question u my friend.. to anyone thinking of trying this product.. it is better than st.johns wort, 5 htp and every other otc products

  • i am bipolar, and just tried it today. your saying this is dangerous?

  • moron . legal speed u prolly did 10 grams

  • @kedordu Prolly is not Probably. Speaking of morons....

  • i think thats called narrative disposition . u knew what i meant . you've seen it written like that before im sure . maybe u ( you)havent wouldnt be surprised . i can tell you dont go out much .pop pills at home ?

  • Yeah. All day. Makes me too lazy to spell things out. Maybe I should take Rhodiola.

  • I see it all the time. Makes people look very uneducated and illiterate. Especially the young ones, like you, who will be labeled stupid because you can't spell once you try to get a 'real' job (if you ever even do).

  • All the hubbub about neurotransmitters was basically started by big pharma to promote their newfangled 'anti-depressants'. It's all a bunch of crap. There is absolutely no way to test neurotransmitters in the brain. I suppose that oxy restores neurotransmitters because it makes people feel good. So does weed. Hey! I know! Smoke a bowl and see how 'happy' your neurotransmitters get!

  • mayB u shud ovadose on speed . ....n end it ??

  • you first..

  • Hey kedoru, why did you reply to a post that was a year old anyway? ha ha ha ha

  • because i hate u. muah ah ah ah

  • tried to take a cheap shot and get away with it .. but u making it difficult :) ok ok we both need rhodiola . u should be takin no less than 1.5g a day tho . nows rhodiola isnt that good

  • Medicinal mushrooms need to be decocted for approximately an hour before 25% alcohol is added or the chitin will not release the medicinal constituents. Your method would not release the power of cordyceps. Using Everclear does not extract cordyceps effectively. It can be used to stabilize the decoction and for further extraction once the chitin in the mushroom is broken down. Polysaccharides in the mushroom will clump and be lost with high alcohol, which is why you want to stay around 25%.

  • I tried cordyceps when I ran track in school it did NOTHING for me nor anyone I know however the rasw plant was AWESOME but was a major pain to get and expensive.

  • MountainDeW06, don't believe such sensationalism. For decades athletes have tried to explain their drug improved performances away by claiming that poorly studied traditional herbs were responsible. Sometimes their coaches are the ones that are responsible for the cover-up,with theathletes knowing the truth. Rhodiola and cordyceps are great herbs that are beneficial to health and vitality but in the order of magnitude as similar herbs such as ginseng.

  • What about Rhodiola Rosea, is it good? Anyone ever tried it? Does it really do all the things this guy claims?

  • I have. It makes me feel very relaxed. I also like Siberian Ginseng (eleuthero).

  • its better than coffee, and somewhat like a low dose of amphetamine, esp with alcar. you cant go wrong buying it in bulk (~300 doses / $20 shipped) however the next hurdle is that you need a scale that can weigh a tenth of a gram accurately and a capping tool ( another $20) do a little research

  • If you interested work with a company that sells Rhodiola in capsule form

  • Best to chop them up rather than grind them, so that you can take them out easily, rather than having to filter out the powder with coffee filter paper. It will probably take about 2-3 months with 40% alcohol. The stronger the alcohol, the quicker it will extract. Everclear 95% alcohol will extract much quicker but needs to be diluted slightly after extraction for safety reasons. The 40-50% stuff is fine if you don't mind waiting a while for complete extraction.

  • Personally, I would add it to vodka and let it sit for a few weeks, then strain the cordyceps out and eat them. Then you can use the vodka in small 5ml doses placed under the tongue for a couple of minutes to absorb it straight into the blood stream, before swallowing any unabsorbed excess. If the extract is not concentrated enough, gently evaporate some of the alcohol off over the stove before rebottling.

  • YourPheonix, I will reply to you intwo parts. You can make it into an extract by crushing the cordyceps into a powder and adding it to a small bottle of vodka for a few weeks. The alcohol will extract all of the active ingredients into the solution. In Tibet and Bhutan, the nomadic herdsmen make it into a drink by frying the cordyceps in a little butter, then adding a little spirit alcohol. Fat and alcohol both dissolve the active ingredients.

  • Thanks for this, I got some cordyceps from a Tibetan friend, and I appreciate knowing a little more about them. Mine are in the raw form though, still in the shape of an actual caterpillar, it is unbelievable! If you have any advice about taking them in this form, I would love to hear it. Thanks.....
