What instrument is it that gives the Rohan songs that stringy quality- you can hear it at about :05, and it shows up again a lot in the Rohan tracks. Is it a Norwegian violin, or bagpipes, or what?

@DiabolicHeart Nope. He's a really amazing composer and Twilight is a really huge franchise. Just because it's not to your tastes (or mine for that matter) doesn't mean that it's somehow beneath Howard Shore.

Plus, considering its massive audience, just think how many more people have got to enjoy Shore's genius music since he did that score! Although nothing beats his LOTR score in my opinion - it is truly a timeless masterpiece.
