i built exactly what you did in the second video, and it works perfectly, but i don't see how the model in this video relates to the one in the second video. how do you stand on a pressure plate and have it call in a magical flying cart from the sky? and how does the minecart go around the track at 2:17 ? in mine, it just does what yours does at the end of video 2 over and over again

Hey Engineer,

I've been trying to use the trick you show at 5:31 in a project I'm working on. However, I've noticed that it has the same downfall as the plate on the corner that you showed prior to this trick - that is, if a cart goes too fast, it wont activate the plate. In fact, I'm finding that the cart needs to be going reasonably slowly to activate the plate using this trick as well... which is not good as I need the cart to be moving pretty fast.

Why idea why the pressure plate quick you showed us isn't working anymore? The trick where you have a corner section of track on a straight track, and the cart flips for a second and hits the plate. I have it set up - exactly - as your video, and the wood plate is never depressed by the cart. Does this not work anymore? I want to have a passenger detection system like you show in the beginning.

@chodetaculous Well i tried to use that pressure plate system also and it seems that my cart is moving to fast, if i push the cart and get in it, the plate activates but if i get in the booster, then the plate dont activate.

So my conclusion is that the carts are moving to fast :P

Does this booster method still work with the beta 1.2_02 update because in the update, boosting has had a smaller 'push' than it did before the update

It's farther. You said it yourself. This sends a cart far. Far implies distance. Farther implies distance. Further implies a non physical advancement, for example knowledge or time.

That pressure plate thing...I needed that EXACT set-up for my own track system. Ahh, bloody hell. **Goes and figures out how to put that into my own system**

You took a long time to get to the point.... but wow! What a point.

To detect a cart. I had a self resetting booster setup parallel to the main track. The booster reset with a pez dispenser drop and can tell direction.

With your technique, I can simply use two pressure plates and a bit of redstone logic to get a direction bit. Wow. Thanks and I will be subscribing.

@kurtu5 I have seen a few of this guys videos. He moves the camera(jerking the mouse around) too much and also seems to take 8 minutes to give two minutes of instruction. I agree that he has some good information but takes too long to deliver it. Hey engineer, try cutting out some of the extra talk and not repeating yourself so much, it will make your videos much more watchable.
