  • Amazing!

  • That tutu looks like a fan

  • Well done! Great job little swans! :*

  • But I believe this original Petipa has been reworked by Gordon Lightfoot?

  • They make it look so easy. . .

  • Marius Petipa choreographed this.

  • This dance never fails to amaze me...it's just so PERFECT....

  • wow :) i love this peice

  • what is this song called and who is it by?

  • @DMarie0824 Holy Shit.... TCHAIKOVSKY

  • @stephenburtondepp Yeaahhh... just realized this.

  • /watch?v=vFUc1MoY-zI&NR=1 thanks *-*

  • @silkenswan phrased the question made me feel like I was being slightly interrogated, and at the moment the only reason I can think of you wanting to know where I dance is so that you can once again tell me about your (admittedly very prestigious) family history. Can we leave this whole thing now? I'm sure in real life we're both pleasant people! At the moment I am at a bit of a crossroads as I am in the process of switching ballet schools so that I can further my education en pointe.

  • @silkenswan I am and always have been (well, for 7 months) 13. And you think I'm trying to gain sympathy... Right. From whom, may I ask?! The only reason I am replying to your comments is that I feel the need to defend myself, I do not want you thinking your accusations are true. I do not like the fact that you say this dance should not be so challenging for me, how do you know how I feel when I dance it? And you say you were taking an interest in where I dance; the way you [cont]

  • @silkenswan Ok, so... I did not "question you if you knew how hard this element is", it just seemed like you were passing off the dancer's hard work as not good enough. Also, I did not try and turn this argument against you; if I could i would reverse all this and we would not be in this situation. I am interested to know what items on my profile changed - I can only assume that you visited my channel and assumed that because I had updated my Music choices last time I was on there. [cont]

  • @silkenswan Please can you calm down and stop being so condescending. I do not have "severe co-ordination problems" just because I state a dance is hard, and I am always stretching myself to become as good a dancer as i possibly can. I am a 13 year old girl, I hardly think that i know for sure whether or not I am physically strong enough yet. I have been dancing since I was 2, and I'm just doing what I love. I don't care what you think of me so please stop with the comments.

  • @silkenswan Jesus christ, d'you know how hard that dance is?! I feel like a good sit-down after doing half of it!! They make it look so effortless and graceful.

  • ULTIMATE GOAL! Good thing I'm small. ;)

  • makes me wanna hold someones hand lol

  • @DancingLauren For sure!

  • This is one of my favorite version of the Pas de Quatre. I watch it all the time; it's so beautiful.

  • @rbsadler what do you mean ? i've never seen any diffrent version

  • @FyreBalletDancer There are subtle choreography differences in each production of Swan Lake.

  • @rbsadler i've never noticed any, could you link a video where there is a diffrence ... thanks

  • lol imagine if one person fell, they would be screeeeewedd

  • I had to do this variation for a summer program and I hate those freaking pas de chats...they look awesome but doing them sucks!:P

  • who choreographed this

  • @courtneyAwiseman Lev Ivanov

  • please please please buy a different recording device

  • i have to do this dance and i almost just killed myself trying to do it. its really hard!

  • @dancerrrfolifeee ME TOO!! Only I am not doing it en pointe. I'm scared.. O.o

  • @dancergirlmh yeah. were learning it off pointe right now.. and i still cant even do it! hahaha

  • @dancerrrfolifeee We aren't doing it on pointe and its still a pain in the neck!!

  • it was akward for me ... they were so stiff and staccado ... it was a bit soldier-like in stead of SWAN-like ... just my opinion tho, this part is soooo hard to do

  • @FyreBalletDancer i agree with you, and you're right it is hard to do..... but it is impossible to dance this without it looking soldierlike.... because precision is so necessary here.

  • @cigtt i wouldnt say impossible but your point is true, the precision is incredible...

  • wow the best I've ever seen. They're awesome!!! But what is about the end? The colour changed, I think..

  • They were absolutely perfect to me :)

  • Intersting way of doing pas de chats, i actually really like after wathcing is a few times. Ive never done this variation quite like this, the last eight cu de pie are usually in retiere for me. brava! great energy too, it looked effortless

  • i've always been in love with this dance. sometimes i secretly watch these youtube videos and get out my pointe shoes to learn it lol

  • Wow.

It's sad because I'll never be this good.

  • One of the best I've ever seen!! And these were STUDENTS! BRAVA!

  • Yes, all of these dancers are considered on the medium/tall side by most people, and in most companies, would be dancing the big swans, which I'm sure would come far more natural to them. However, their teacher, Magaly Suarez, entrusted this responsibility to them (this was a HUGE production of Swan Lake in Miami, BTW) and they worked every day to achieve what they did. It should be appreciated.

  • They're very good dancers, but I do think that their height takes something away from it all.

  • are the two swans with the last name "powers" sisters?

  • @balletbootsie318 No, Grace-Anne and Samantha happen to have the same last name. They are not related.

  • Wow! This is the cleanest version I've seen so far! All the steps are very precise and fluid.

  • I created sheets (piano) for this part of "swan lake", which are easier to play than the original arrangement. Check my homepage if interested (link in my profile).

  • that's definitely my favorite part of swan lake, choreographically. just sayin (:

  • Americans should not attempt Swan Lake, leave it to the British or the Russians.

  • @laracroftbb

There are other countries in this world besides those three.

Besides, dancing doesn't have anything to do with background or ethnicity. It has to do with training and choreography. Both of those things can, and are, done well, all over the world. Because you have never seen a beautiful American ballet performance doesn't mean they don't exist. The American School of Ballet and the NYC Ballet produce and have amazing dancers.

  • that was very good!

  • better than the kirov!!

  • ugh dude this dance is so hard to do!!! i learned it at this dance intensive thing and it was loco! :) i give you guys major props!!!

  • amazing!!!

  • As most of the four little swans are short dancers, i made a joke about how amazing they were althoug they are big swans not littleeeee

  • Are u two stupid os something??? I am not talking about fat for god!!! I mean big as them four ( sorry but i know then all personally) are very TALL!!!! Oh my god you american are crazy...

  • american...? hmm.. so what are you?

  • proud brazilian

  • @petitdancer22 and you have probs w.americans?..interesting

  • no, i dont have problemns with americans. By the way, i envy you, All americans are tall and live in a country full of oportunities... dont get me wrong, but i am nacionalist, hahah, i am proud to have my brazillian happy and warm blood... As this four cignets, for the LAST TIME i talk about how tall they are, and i an fan of this girls as I WAS TAKING CLASSES WITH THEY 4 arIN MIAMI

    ok???? e we clear?

  • @petitdancer22 i didnt think you were calling them fat i was just asking about you whole "americans" comment.... and yes we do have lotss of opportunities....and we arent all tall lol..what ever made you think that lol im 5'5

  • @petitdancer22

I'm 5'3". I'm not a "short" person in America. Even stupid stereotypes can be harmful so please...

  • i LOVE 4 swans!!! such a fun variation... its kinda painfull but thats ok. i actual know jordan elizabeth long! she used 2 dance at my school where i take now! :)

  • i love the four swans variation! we learned it tooday in repetoire, and i have fallen in love!!

  • this is soooo good im tryingto do this atm but im giting beter but still hit nees with the other girls:L:L the only bit i dont like is at 1 18 i think its like the most ungrasfull looking thing in the routine.....still love this tho

  • i think this is the best ive seen theyre so i time, even their heads are the same.

  • one of the best cygnets i have EVER seen! bravo!

  • i agree , all four have the same leg extensions and they are graceful and precise through the entire dance, except the part that many cant grasp 0:55

  • I have to play this soon for a dance reherasal where i am MD and have heard so many variations in tempo it's untrue! As an MD I would of course go with a spped the choreographer and cancers could handle and will want - but I am interested as you seem pretty clued up on this dance - what's your opinion of this version. It is the slowest of the many i have heard I I find it hard to imagine how dances could instil the grace and delicacy of this dance at much greater speeds? Thanks

  • this is a slower version yes, but still as gracefull :) i prefer the faster version though ;)

    And good luck!

  • this might be one of the slower tempos, but it isn't exceptionally slow. i think this tempo delivers both musicaly and dance quality wise. absolutely no need to pick it up if the dancers are not p to it. it is reat, though, to have a musical director wh o does thorough research! i am sure this dedication reflects on the quality of your work! good luck and enjoy the recital, let me know how it went :)

  • This is as good as I've ever seen at any ballet company.

  • omg this dance is so perfect!!!

i am going to dance this to in swan lake in june!!!!!

  • that was beautiful

  • amaaaaizing!!!! congratulations to the dancers and the director ofcourse, you all made a very very good work! BRAVO!

  • amazzzziiiingggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

  • virtually perfect

  • pretty much perfect

  • wow petitdancer22 ur a fucking bitch ass whore, if you even think these dancers are "BIG" you obviously have a problem because they are thin and healthy looking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • four BIG amazing swans :)

  • not at all...
