  • @tpmum "If You've Lost Your L, Look Around" is on Sesame Street Episode 1845 , which was just uploaded a few days ago.

  • I agree as ShreeddedKleenex says Marmalade is orange not red. Jam is red.

  • i saw this when i was little, and here i am 14 still singing it haha

  • @Smileygirl2426 Me too! Except Im 13 :) I sing it at school me and my friends we go MMMM MMMM MMM! :D

  • Lol Marmalade isn't red! its orange! Lol I had this song on one of my sesame street games. I really lovd that game, but it broke :( This song brings back memories

  • This premiered in episode 2448 from 1988, called "Snuffy's Store, Etc."

  • this ROCKS! i love it! lol :P

  • at the end looks llike the moose died

  • this is true entertainment

  • at 0:26 she SOUNDS LIKE A MAN.hahaha!

  • Would you happen to have Sesame Street's "If you've lost your L, look around you'll find him, Just look patiently"? The animation is similar to this song (Me and My M)

  • @tpmum Alas, no, I don't have that one and can't find it on YouTube right now (nor anywhere else, I did check!). Sorry about that, hopefully someone will share soon.

  • Muahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaa.......!!

This childhood song came into my head and I just had to search this. Two things.

    1. "Lay some marmalade on me" is NOT exactly a pick-up line. (so don't try it)

2.. The look the monkey gave after that question is priceless!!

    Muahahahaaaaaaaaa

  • other than whiny Burt, this little tune is the one thing I remember clearly...mmm, mmm, mmm!

  • i have been singing this song to my dog Madeline for years! my memory for childhood songs is incredible. always wanted to search this on youtube and finally remembered to do it! This stuff was such a huge influence on me! amazing.

  • Imagine hearing this song recorded on a tape and repeated over and over about a dozen times in a row. It sounds funnier and funnier each time the way its being sung. I actually had that tape.

  • Thank you

  • the 9 dislikes came from ppl that had to work in sweatshops as kids, never having the time to enjoy these skits

  • hahah wow I remember this

  • @OrlyYaRlyK i remember this too

  • OMG, she stole McDonald's arches! :)

  • thank god i can find these things when i need a good laugh... hahahahahaha i love it

  • I was always mad at the monkey wen i saw this as a kid. >:(

  • Click my name to check out our video made entirely from the cartoons they used to teach children about words and letters on old episodes of Sesame Street! :D

  • haha.. she sho kent sing.... she sounds asthmatic hahaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • this is charmin and a lil creepy at the same time

  • I don't know why, but I always found this sketch to be very heartwarming.

  • This clip used to disturb me when I was little, probably because of the evil expression on the monkey's face when he's throwing the marmalade.

  • little jerk monkey!!

  • I'd be nervous standing right underneath a moose's butt like that!

  • Who remembers the cartoon where a man makes a wheelbarrow from a red ball and climbs blue box stairs to see into the next yard????????

  • I love the 'mozy on, mozy on' at the end.

    So catchy!

  • I always thought she said "Marmalade, marmalade" at the end, lol.

  • Thank goodness that these memories can be found. This stuff is priceless.

  • Ah, the amazing variety the results from freelance animation. Thank you S. Street. P.S. That girt better watch where she's standing ;P

  • Lol it looks like the moose is bleeding!

    Classic,though.

  • this is so utterly classic, wow i havent seen this for literally 20 years. Im looking for this sesame st cartoon that is a moving line drawing of a guy who speaks with weird sounds, has a big nose, the floorline continues into his body, i would love to find this it was sooo good.

  • This is psychotic....

  • LOl i sooooo effin agree. psychotic

  • @Humbocchio It was fun then and its just as fun now. You'd be surprised how, decades after it's introduction, I still hum it under my breath. It's awesome!

  • thnx so much :)

  • YES YES YES lol thats it :D.... at least now i know the name , thnx again :)

  • Yeehaa, points for me! :-) I shall keep an eye out for it, hon, now I know which one you're looking for, and give you a shout if it turns up.

  • *sigh* ...lol nah thats not it, and i was all excited too :P the one im speaking of is kind of a grayish tone in colour and its a guy and hes singing about 9 candles , 9 plates etc as hes laying the table then he hears the doorbell ring..its kinda eerie actually ...i appreciate all ur help..thnx alot :)

  • Rats, I thought I had it! Now I'm thinking you mean the one that goes, "I'm serving dinner for 9 tonight, we're going to dine by candlelight, I hope everyone brings their appetite, I'm serving dinner for 9 tonight...", right? That's "Dinner For 9" animated by Paul Fierlinger, I believe. Not here on YT, alas, so we shall keep our fingers crossed someone uploads it. Hope I nailed it this time :-)

  • actually there's one animated clip ive been searching for...this guy racing around his house preparing himself for 9 visitors at 9 tonight...its been nagging at me for years now! lol...:)

  • Sounds like the one posted here as "Bumble Ardy's birthday 9". Just search for that phrase and you should find it.

  • hey.. i wanna thank u too ...from Trinidad lol...i totally enjoy ur sesame vids as well :))

  • All this action from the tropics is making me jealous here in chilly Canada! :-) You're more than welcome, iskazi, glad I can offer up these wonderful clips.

  • Aww, shucks, you're more than welcome! Somebody has to remind today's kids of the glory days of "Sesame Street". Thanks for such a lovely message, really made my day!

  • This was my FAVORITE!!!!!!! "lay some marmalaaaade oooon meeeeee" LOL

  • I loved this when I was little!

  • lol, that was so random

  • ahhh thank you for posting this...this was one of my childhood faves. I'm 26 now and still find myself humming the tune haha :)

  • M than McDonalds. XD

  • I just want to say that my 2-year old was watching this with me and she pointed to the blonde girl and said 'mommy!' I sincerely hope the reason is because she realizes that Mommy is an M word and NOT because she saw a physical resemblance to that girl.

  • LOL!

  • OMFG I haven't seen this in AGES!!

I remember it word for word!! AHHHHH i feel so old now!! Thanks for posting it!!

  • I havent seen that since I was a mini person!

  • Wow for ages I thought I would never see this song again, but here it is!

  • Yes but also, A moose can hit you with his antlers too. Not just hitting one in the car.

  • Hey lilcherryblossom, more like the moose was going to murder the monkey after splattering marmalade all over him.

  • OMG this song just poped in my head and youtubed it and BAM! it's here lmao

  • my mother always used to sing this to me she says sesame street is too computerized now

  • how cool

  • Not many know but A moose can be a very dangerous animal if it wanted to.

  • I agree! You don't want to hit one driving- you can die from the crash.

  • LMFAO, i remember this..wow xD

its been so long since i seen it ^^

  • I love this - me and my friend Meggan used to sing this all the time when we were little kiddies... and now we are 30... and old. :)

  • The Monkey Murdered the Moose!!! XD I miss this one so much.

  • see? why the hell isnt sesame street like this anymore? computers are fine, but dont lose your low tech soul (look at don kurtzfeldt for example) also, the music has sucked for 5 years now. thanks for this i remember it well :)

  • LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!! absatively hilarious...now that song is stuck in my head fer the rest of tha day...(not that I am complaining one bit)...thanx a mill fer posting.

  • It's stuck in mine too, and I walk around all the time going "mmmmMmmm mmmm " LOL :D

  • I don't know why, but this segment totally scared me when I was a kid. It made me terrified of marmalade (and no, I am not joking!).

  • This was before Bruce Cayrad started computer animation.

  • This lady makes The Shaggs sound like Pavarotti.

  • That marmalade looks like blood! LOL.

  • I remember this! MMM, MMM, MMM!

  • LOL i remember this

  • What a moose! What a moose! LOL My dad still walks around singing that part!

  • this was my absolute favorite song!

  • Funny, I was thinking you'd normally expect it to poop on her because she was staning right under his butt.

    Funny clip though. What memmories!

  • you know if you give a moose a muffin...

  • lol, this girl still cracks me up. mousy on. mousy on. mmmmm-mmmm-mmmm.

  • that's "mosey on", cowpoke!

  • does anyone have the m bit, with the guy with all the masks, "a mask", if so, please post

  • Any idea what studio did these? The animation style used to bug me until I started to appreciate the lunacy behind them. This one almost sounds like Joan Cusack singing. There were others, I am pretty sure by the same studio, which seemed to feature a haughty woman. One involved her discussing carrots, of all things, with the viewer.

  • LOL she annoyed me too at the tender age of 5 :-p

  • What about that skit on reading "you take an M that an m and an AN an, you put them all together and you say MAN.." I remembered that in the 70s and it taught me to read faster than my teachers did! :)

  • lol, i totally remember this too, she annoyed me!

  • this one escapes me!

  • Oh Wow! I loved that strange girl when I was a kid. I loved her "L" one too! Thanks so much for letting me experience part of childhood again!

  • Hi! This was one of my favorite songs when I was a kid. "Whatta moose, whatta moose, mmmm-hmmm-mmmm!"
