I also don't think the movie was faithful to the book. Merely making the scenes look exactly how they appeared in the book, while not staying true to the characters isn't "being faithful".
If you read the book, you'll probably be disappointed, and if you didn't, you're missing a whole lot of information.
And I agree, the CG was great.
I'd probably give the movie 2/5
P.S. - "Todays Movie" should have an apostrophe (Today's Movie)

The acting was pretty bad all around.
I think the thing that annoyed me the most about the movie was that it made everything way too black and white - everything was over simplified to please the movie-goers who hadn't read the book (or in some cases, events were just beefed up way too much) Like exaggerating Veidt's unsavory character into a full-blown, cruel villain, or exaggerating Rorschach's violence (cleaver scene). While those changes are subtle, they completely change their characters.

Looks like its time for a new couch....
I must say Nick's take on Dr. Manhattan's penis is certainly unique but other than that I agreed with most everything you both said. 9/10
