  • @NBurbine " Einstein synchronisation (or Poincaré–Einstein synchronisation) is a convention for synchronizing clocks at different places by means of signal exchanges. This synchronization method was used already by telegraphers in the middle 19th century, but was popularized by H. Poincaré and A. Einstein who applied it to light signals and recognized its fundamental role in relativity theory " source Wikipedia

  • Hey. that's the same Drinking Bird my sister's 4th grade science teacher who was alo our neighbor for a few years gave us when she moved this summer. That was so nice of her. She gave one to me and m sis to remember her, and when my sister was little, she used to like watching the Drinking Bird Drink.

  • That's cool =]

  • As Ed Sulivan use to say "Take a bow"

  • Haha, reminds me of Close Encounters.

  • XD

I can't even explain why I liked watching that. I just did.

  • WICKEDD

    And entertaining. xD

  • woow. genius idea.

  • could some1 reply to me and see if one would strike a key on a computer ( perferibly a laptop ) ... thx

  • that wouldnt work. They need to dip their beak/head into cool water for the cycle to keep going. So Im sorry, no "Homer Simpson" like job for you

  • ahahah

  • Actually it would. Because it doesn't need to keep touching water, it just needs the beak to be wet. Google it I am sure you can find some responses. So.... Homer Simpson job ahoy!

  • WELL PLAYED.

  • yes, it just need to have the head cold, if the head is cooled before it can work without water for at least 30min

  • BTW there was water glasses and we didn't saw them !

  • Beautiful chance music in F major. :)

  • Supermegacool! Congrats! :-)

  • You can see the feathers moving because there is a fan blowing on them to speed up the evaporative cooling that drives them. Faster cooling means more "drinks" per minute. A fan forced heater would have worked better as heated air would warm the bottom bulb and heated air has a lower relative humidity to help the evaporation.

  • thats cool. if someone knows how to make those please tell!!!!

  • !!!!nice!!!!

  • very nice idea

  • sswweett

  • Man, I was mesmerized by these things when I was little. My grandmother had one and I would sit and watch it for long periods of time.

  • were you stoned?

  • You can't really dance to it, but I still love it.

  • Very clever... :-)

    Wish I'd thought of that.

  • thanks !!
