  • I dont care if the US or japan or whoever lands on mars. i just want to see a human up there.

  • INCREDIBLE! What a mysterious & beautiful planet! I think that what we expect to find, but don't, or just weren't close enough, or maybe just in the wrong place at the wrong time, I look at that in a positive way. It means we can explore even more outstanding mysteries on other worlds, even our own, & can show us how much we can achieve when we really put our minds & effort into exploration of such mystery! There's so much more to explore, & learn! To me, that makes exploration worth living for!

  • This is such BS. They always underestimate the lifespan of these things, so that when they last longer, they can feign surprise - justifies the whole project's existence, thus the funding keeps rolling in.

  • @JackBlair2 why the hell would you be mad at space exploration receiving more funding?

  • Awesome.

  • im doing a report on Mars and this is a good video

  • life on mars there is life on mars

  • JPL and NASA - showing once again that unmanned missions of our solar system have provided valuable scientific knowledge and superior costs-effectiveness. 5 years for these 2 rovers and their support staff costs $820 Million. Compare that to the $100-$500 Billion numbers floating around for a manned Mars exploration program. And no manned mission could duplicate what Voyager 1 & 2 accomplished in our lifetimes.

  • But with man missions on mars we can do more stuff in days than what the rovers can in months or years. It´s a risk but we can collect scientific information much much faster than a rover can.

  • go go go NASA !! =P

  • WOOT nasa /love u... I went to ur space camp a while back. JUST when this was starting. Congrats on 5 years!

  • We'll never land on mars because NASA is too busy sending robots to find germs that don't exist

  • I really hope opportunity is able to make it to the next crator. Thanks for the video NASA. Hopefully I can do some cartographic work for you later of mars..

  • 2050 - 1st landing on Mars :D

  • WON'T HAPPEN

  • I can't believe they're still going. Awesome. I remember expecting them to make it for a year or so. Five years...Wow.
