  • Thanks Again for another short & concise video! It really is helping me with my project!

Do you have any advice on what compound is the best to use? I'm using 'SHEETROCK-90' right now because I'm used to in & it dries fast! But sometimes if I get the 3 to 1 mix slightly wrong I either end up with soup or mud like clay! Sure I can add a bit of water or powder+mix it more, but that waists time...

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks...

    Peace...

    - Thomas

  • @imagewatom Measure out your 3 to 1 mixture. Once you know the measurement mark it on the bucket with a black marker. "I have to fill to here with rock-90, and to this mark with compound" what happens if you don't use the same bucket again? Use a measuring tape to measure the height of the lines then you can transfer it to another bucket so you will always have the right mixture.

  • does he need to sand that ceiling compound after or is it smooth enough to paint over?

  • oh so u on the receiving end eh? ;)

    ha ha

  • I've found all you videos on this subject really helpful. Thanks so much for taking the time to do this.

  • Good Job. I read somewhere you could put the third coat on with a paint roller. what do u think abou that?

  • Yeah everyones a fukin critic! Put your video up. I found it helpful.

  • can i use drywall on soundproofing mY room??

  • yes as well as insulation will help alot with soundproofing. or if your really want to soundproof use what we call "rotten cotton" or rockwool. its a pain in the ass to work with but has great sound proofing qualities.

  • there is special sound attenuation insulation and use 2 layers of thinner board instead of 1 board, the extra paper layers and air stop the sound

  • damn, this guy makes it look easy

  • All these NEGATIVE comments, and not ONE single video showing what these folks consider the correct way of doing things! ALL TALK AND NO ACTION!!! Gotta love the net!!! In the time that it takes to write a negative commy, you could be doing something positive...like making some money! Go and do your own thing and stop hackin' on folks that are trying to do something! Clowns! So sad...

  • Good for you. This guy is just trying to help people.

  • no kidding.

  • yeah! Haleluja!! I think you summed it up better than I could. I found this guy very informative just in the 1 minute this video took to play in total. I find that a positive thing. If someone wants to complain or make stupid de-constructive comments, they should do it while also proving their concept or practice to everyone. Otherwise, shut up and watch the damn vid!

  • YOURDEAD74 i agree.. most of these videos have screws patches that look like ceiling joins hahaha. smaller the better and easies to sand. save on mud too.. us aussies do it the easy way

    later

  • haha true. Our gyprock is slightly harder than the american stuff. It's more brittle, but we have thick paper on the gyprock to provide rigidity. You just ram the screw in, a little mud to fill up the hole and hey presto! :D

  • damn the hate is amazing...at least he's here trying to show something...it's always the do nothing assholes that have so much to say about shyt!

  • use a box!?

  • why not a ten box and a 12 box? or just use a hawk and a trowel

  • This guy's screws are coated wider than his butts? WTF is up with that?
