It's probably just as well that the rope broke right at the start . Had it held , he would have reached the bottom upside down , facing backwards , and doing about 200 miles per hour or whatever . Of course , falling strait down isn't any better . That's just good comedy .
not only do i not understand how this would help him catch the roadrunner, but why when he fell did his hole have ear shaped area's, when he was clearly wearing a helmet with a wheel on.
I have no idea how he thought this would help him catch a roadrunner -- but it's very very funny, especially when the electrified wire finds him in that hole! Poor guy just can't catch a break!

@ hardware......., you think too much.
@ slimboyfat......, because it's funny.
It's one of the best and funniest Wlie E Coyotes supergenius' attempts ever. He's an absolute hero.

The funniest part of this segment is the sound of the wire snapping. Absolutely perfect.

Why? A helmet with a wheel on the top designed for the wearer to ride a thin wire upside down...
why...?

@Slimboyfat1979 That's exactly the question you should be asking. Why? It's because Wile E. Coyote is THAT desperate to get the Road Runner.

in what hypothetical situation could this be a good idea?
