The 332nd Fighter Group and how they got to be is a remarkable story of overcoming the highest obstacles ever put in front of men. They did it with dignity and are an example to us all........as for their combat record, second to none. Go Red Tails !!
I can't believe that inspirational and powerful videos like this one only gets 2524 views, but bullshit like the chris crocker video or that stupid dog on a video skateboard gets more than a million views !!!!!!! Pathetic !!!!!!!!!
A true american hero and story of a group of men who fought hard for the right to defend their country abroad at a time their rights as men were not defended here at home.
For this feat and other acts of trail blazing service, their unit was officially awarded a medal and recognized by President Bush and both houses of Congress this past summer.
After viewing the video on Mr. Newman, I learned he was part of an elite group of black aviators, called the Tuskegee Airman who were the only combat unit n-e-v-e-r to lose a single bomber they escorted over enemy territory.
Mr. Newman served his country, flying over 150 combat missions spanning WWII and Korea. He survived 7 mishaps, including fire & bailing out over the Adriatic sea, that had killed lesser men.
I met two of these great heroes today. Thank you men for serving so selflessly and stickin' to the stuff!!!!
Some people have heroes that fly around in capes and exist in people's imagination. Mine ... wear combat boots and take it to the enemy every day proving that the United States of America is still the "baddest" fightin' force on earth.
They only sought a "fair & impartial" opportunity
The result: never lost a bomber to enemy fighters;
recognized by President Bush, Colin Powell :
