  • great job.thanx alot

  • Hi... I am currently working on mixing materials called PLDLLA-TCP-PCL. This compound contains 3 materials added 2gether and it has factors like max. load strength, tensile strength, elasticity ,etc and i was wondering if the taguchi method which u shown could help me come up with the ideal material composition?

And do i need to carry out experiments to get a base line/reference for the method to work on? thx! and i need only three factor results, how do i get that without the rest?

  • @Nauttos Your 3 materials are the input factors and their % of the mixture is the level setting. The output measurements are load and tensile strength, elasticity. All three outputs will have to be measured and evaluated with separate ANOVAs. Take the DOE Basics Course on my website to learn what to do. just google Educate Virtually.

  • Arent you supposed to always work with continuous variables in DOE? The cover and rotation settings do not qualify for that assumption imo

  • @rafael9895 The output we are measuring, time to boil, is continuous. The factor settings can either be continuous variables or discrete settings. In multiple regression the input X and output Y must both be continuous. The output in DOE can also be discrete but you have to use Dr. Taguchi's Accumulation Analysis Method to calculate the sum of squares. I suggest that you take my basic DOE course on my website, just search for EducateVirtually.
