Regarding the referree that messed up the Mares fight. What do you expect here? I think that Don paid off the judges in the Alexander Matthesse fight, and I think that the judges were very pro Agbeko in the Mares fight. Do you think that Don paid the judges on both fight but Golden Boy just bribed the ref? Are all these officials totally corrupt? Am I wrong or are these officials that bad?
good vid again islander, i think khan would actually turn prescott over this time, he messed around with coaches at the time and he was just caught cold, khan looks better now and i think he has too much for him now especially with roach in the corner. I actually think khan will fight anybody put in front of him. But i do agree if prescott hits him with a bomb it could be a nervous time.
I also got Mares by UD. Too consistant and disciplined.
About the 12-15 rds debate : I agree that a lot of guys may never have won world titles in the 15 rd era but when you see fights like Pacquiao-Margarito or Klitschko-Briggs where a fighter is badly outclassed and the corner and the referee let him take unnecessary punishment, aren't you glad that the fight ends after 12 rds and they don't have eat punches for 3 more rds?

The only reason I can come up with is that the smaller guys throws a barrage of punches, and the punchpower/weight-ratio is smaller for these guys which means that they absorb more punches and still last longer than the HW, which leads to more severe headtrauma than getting KOd by one or two big HW-punches.
Abner Mares would've beaten Yonny Perez in a 15 round fight and even against Darchinyan. Mares showed that he has championship rounds in his two previous bouts.

@anhell32 Trinidad would have stopped him before the end of the 15th. a boxer can only run for so long and those of us old enough to remember can recall that very few runners were able to make it 15 whole rounds without getting banged around some.
if kevin mitchell can outbox presscott then i think khan definetly can -no problem..if presscott knocks out mccloskey and looks impressive then maybe that would be a good fight to make but i don't see it happening...mcclosckey should win easily

You and everybody else are downplaying Prescott's motivation or lack there of when facing these other guys, it's a real downer after blowing away Khan in 54 seconds. Left hooks and right hands followed after Prescott turned Khan's knees to jelly with a JAB. Watch it again it happens real fast. Understand Prescott is nothing great and will get killed by the likes of Bradley & Co. BUT there is something about his physical blue print that is kryptonite to Khan in my mind until Khan erases it.

And I got to say I love this channel. There's a lot of boxing dudes out there with YT-channels, but no one comes close to matching the Islander himself. Strict to the point, informative, knowledgable and no bullshit. And no annoying rap music either. What's not to like?
Either way you look at it, Khan is a wonderfully entertaining guy. Fast feet, fast hands, not too much pop, a little chinny, but not too chinny. Makes for interesting fights, long fights, where a lot can happen when facing a skilled opponent with heavier hands than Khan.
@QueenToBishop Actually I think Khan has a lot more pop than people think he just blows it on what I think is excessive speed same way ODLH used to flail away. But I think Khan has better fighter's instincts than people give him credit for sometimes its what gets him into trouble but that's why he's exciting to watch.

The difference between the 2 is in recent fights where Judah got kd he got up carried on with Matthyse and stopped Mabuza where as Alexander was on the run vs. Koltenik and Matthyse. I think Judah wins. I also think Maidana might beat both of them.

Don't think it was a title fight but Beethavean Scotland died after fighting George Khalid Jones. 10th round KO in that fight about ten years ago.
