The biggest punk band in LA? Well, no. Probably the oldest (in terms of age of the band members) They had a loyal following, always drew a decent to large crowd, but they were never the biggest. Maybe in the top five.

There would always be this crowd that you would never see anywhere else, and they would be at every single FEAR show, and would always go completely nuts thru the whole set. I always wondered where these kids came from, and why they never went to any other gigs but Fear. Weird.

Second: FEAR isn't as :legendary" as GNR because GNR had the whole music industry supporting them in the late 80's and early 90's. FEAR had to promote themselves, like most other punk bands, to become popular. Just because a band is popular doesn't mean they're "legendary". Take Jonas Brothers for example.

Third: Just because a band isn't as famous as The Misfits or The Sex Pistols doesn't mean they suck.
