Im a complete pc user, but fo rmy uni course in fashion I need to have a mac ideally, so, if I were to buy a macbook, and install vista on it, could I use it in vista all of the time?? like, is it easy to use vista on the mac on a day to day basis? and does it slow the hard drive down alot?
PLESE HELP . I bought today a macbook air and i want to change all the sytem to Vista. How do i do it? Can i format the hdd and install a fresh Vista? I have the dvd drive.
Okay, for the people that don't know. With the new Macs there is a program called boot camp that basically splits your hard drive into two separate ones. By doing this you can instal windows xp or vista on one of these hard drives while keeping your Mac OS on the other. As we Mac users know, not everything is compatible with the Mac OS, so this is very helpful. If i'm not mistaken the Macbook pros benchmark windows faster than the leading laptops.
Not a lot of programs can run on Mac OS X. Apple realized that and decided that in order to install programs that don't work for Mac OS X is to install an actual Windows operating system. It can be done via Boot Camp, Apple's partitioning program.
ok... i installed Windows XP on my Macbook. The main reason is i need use AutoCAD. You make AutoCAD work on Mac OS X, and i will delete the Windows XP right away. The reason i put Windows on Macbook is the compatibility
Ok sorry but please tell me the thing i wrote: i can install windows to a apple cause i want to buy one a (macbook) but i want to use it with windows vista for school cause i like the design of the apple´s please responde me gracias... please how did u do it ?
Dude why u didnt show ur laptop? is it realy a macbook? ok hey so are u shure i can install windows to a apple cause i want to buy one a (macbook) but i want to use it with windows vista for school cause i like the design of the apple´s please responde me gracias...
I have a question.....I'm getting a MacBook for Xmas and I got VMWare Fusion and would that even run a MacBook??? If so can you play high quality PC games on Fusion by itself or do you need BootCamp too???? Please comment or send a message back thanks!
well you know what i mean. Windows in particular, not just vista. Mac, it has to be it, unless you hacked the firmware, or tricked it to thinking it's a mac.
i have macbook 2gb ram 2ghz speed (although they now ship with 2.15 which is better) and 160 gb hd. I run vista fine with vmware, used parralells before but vmware is better
I believe that a superior OS, such as OS X, does have the capabilities to offer all that an OS can offer. But when it comes to specific game titles or other advanced software applications that have been built for an inferior OS, considering it was not built for the superior one, all being based on the software company's decision, that software can ONLY be run on that inferior OS, and there is nothing anyone can do about ... except for the software company itself, of course.
dude zoom the camera out a bit and let us see that it actually IS a mac...wud of been the easiest way to prove it I reckon....instead of doing whatever it is you do with it for the duration of the video...god knows if I know lol.
Would like to add:
Boot Camp software is a softwarepart of Leopard. All Windows- drivers are available on the OX-X Install DVD and install from there.
You need only the original versions of Microsoft OS. Minimum XP SP II.

Both OS run in native mode. You can adjust the current startup volume in the preferences of Mac OS and the default settings of Vista.
The Mac will boot automatically in the desired OS.
There is no slowdown in a HD.
For Vista this is a normal PC.
With the new MacBook's a fun.
Lightfromsirius 2 years ago
If you need a MAc, then you need OS X, a Macbook with Vista is no different to a Vista laptop if you use vista all the time

Im going to by purchasing a Macbook pro soon & Id like to know if the the bootcamp preinstalled will be running Xp or Vista?
And would yo have to install your own version of an antivirus and firewall software or will it be preistalled?
AveyKhali 4 years ago
You have to install your copy of BootCamp with the Leopard installation DVD and the version of Windows you want. You have to install your antivirus.

Windows is better, because you don't have to buy a certain computer for it.
itsaidhi 4 years ago
Yes you have to... Windows Vista is too heavy for old computer, so you have to buy a new one

Sure, then it depends I this is a pro or a con
Hexley 4 years ago
yep, wheter it's a pro or con. since iPOD's work on PC, do Zunes work on Mac?
itsaidhi 4 years ago
It doesn't work because Windows Media Format is from Microsoft and they have not developed a version of their DRM for the Mac or for Linux
Hexley 4 years ago
sucks for the people who don't know that!
