  • What a sweet tune!

  • please do your self a favour and listen to Nana Mouskuri and her french version of this song " Si J'etais Perdue" by the way N.M is greek and sings in 9 languagges.

  • prefer the original version better, but still very nice

  • very beatiful sounding song. love the lyrics and they seem so meaningful. so much maturenous for a young teen, very professional. love it one of my favorites.her voice tended to smooth out abit as she got older. sounds great

  • There is a song. Some memories left in heart for this.. And my old truck's/Big rigs..

  • I absolutely LOVE this song by Tanya. She just has that special something that adds so much depth to her songs.

  • where can i find this version of the song. its much better than the original she recorded. either way, its a fantastic song

  • As a man from Canada I have already done this!

  • Coe wrote this as wedding vows for a friend if I remember correctly.

  • Yes this was written by David Allen Coe. Tanya sang it originally when she was 13.

  • Beautiful song, brings back memories of Newfoundland and old friends.

  • Love the vid!! Very nice work! :D

  • I thought the lyrics were by David Allan Coe.

  • The sheer beauty of her voice has walked through the recesses of my mind for 40 years, caressing the memories hidden there. She even this day brings them to life with her voice.

  • love her <3

  • this song is beautiful.

  • I absolutely love this song...i dont care how old it is i grew up on this and i absolutely LOVE IT!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @FatherTimeST1300 sometimes he do. Tough. The man can still write and sing a song like nobody's business!

  • @FatherTimeST1300 Yes he doesbut, He has written some of the most beautiful songs that have ever been sang !!!!!!!!

  • touching song

  • Brilliant, very touching! A whole life times question answered in one song?

  • She's the George Jones in girly style.....

  • Not nearly as good as David Allen Coe's version.

  • 時のながれを、しみじみ感じました。

  • i love her sining

  • Tanya You are the BEST

  • i ove this son it makes me cry . my friends mom had this song sang at her wedding by one of her friends .. i love it and i think it makes every firl cry .. espically if you think thease are things youll never have in a guy

  • This song always makes me cry. I wish I could see it live.

  • thanks that was awsome!

  • I would guide you to the gates of heaven for your love is so real and true..

  • A beautiful song no matter who sings it... one of my favorites of all time

  • It's a great injustice that Tanya Tucker did not get the due recognition from the people in the music industry. She is a fine, fine singer and definitely deserves more respect.

  • @mclenptp She's the greatest female country singer of all times! outstanding voice and feelings!

  • @mclenptp Yes she sure does !!! and by the way I'm a Metalhead just like to touch base with my childhood once in a while that's all

  • @mclenptp She has had her years in the sun. Maybe not the brightest of all the country stars. Classic voice, but her own choice to be classified as an "outlaw" - and her too-public relationships hurt her in the eyes of some conservative country fans and producers.

  • @fiddlefeller - Pal, you are probably right about her private life and effects on her career. Another fine country singer, Gram Parsons, labelled as an 'outlaw', was also shunned by people running the country music industry.

  • @mclenptp I don't know where you grew up, but in this country there is no name in country music with greater recognition than Tanya Tucker.

  • @mclenptp Outlaws don't want respect...to do is the 'due' and our morning dew, doo dah / doo dah. But, this is great! What is unjust is the current state of country music but for a few...

  • this song reminds me my mom and i feel like crying i feel i let everyone down piss off :(

  • great song wonderful echo at the end

  • This is the sweetest version of one of the best songs in history. Thanks. I'm using this song as a wedding song. When she reads her vows to me...I'm singing mine to her. This song's part of the plan. The lyrics help a lot.

  • Shit.....this take me back a few years ....to West Texas! Thanks for posting this...ex pat South of France!!

  • David Allen Coe used to be so good but his career seems to have crashed and burned. His recordings were produced by Billy Sherrill for example. I have asked what happened?

  • Noone can ever sing the song with the conviction that DAC wrote it with. DAC's emotions are laid absolutely bare when he plays this song. He is one of the true geniuses. This is a great version though.

  • YES...I would

  • tanya is one HOT FOX

  • Another one that touches my soul. Wow.

  • It doesn't matter who wrote or sang the song first, cause after listening to both of them, i say TANYA TUCKER IS WAY BETTER THAN COE COULD EVER BE. And I love this song.

  • I have to agree with you on that one. I love this song and I think Tanya Tucker is the best.

  • David Allan Coe and Tanya Tucker are both great, their versions are very different. I wouldn't say one is better than the other.

Tanya is clearly a better vocalist, but DAC has a much larger variety of styles. He can do country, rock, and blues really well. And his lyrics cover almost evey subject you can think of. He'd probably be as big a Willie or Merle, if he wasn't an ex-con and a criminal. You can't really compare them. That'd be like comparing Hank Sr to Patsy. They're too different.

  • your side note says "Words by Tanya Tucker" its not... David Allan Coe wrote this song.

  • It should say words and music written by David Allan Coe , and this is a magnificent version sung by the great Tanya Tucker,

  • true!

  • loved this song for years

  • i <3 dis song so does me mom

  • i got in trouble for singing this at school, but i was 6. my teacher wasn't impressed.

  • Did she know it was written for wedding vows? this would still be a great song for a weddiing-----

  • oh yeah it would, but i was 6 in 1977, so this was probably a little hard to take on her part.

  • She is only 15 when this song was recorded and asking someone to lay with her.

  • best love song ever!

  • THANKS! love this song!

  • I love this song especially from Tanya !! Tanya your the best

  • My favorite song by Tanya. Thanks!

  • Awesome "words by Tanya Tucker" LULZ
