Oh wow, I remember these-- and I only ever heard about this commercial! Awesome! I had one; even though I eventually I became a guitarist, I'm proud to say that my very first musical instrument was a Synsonics drum pad hooked up to my boombox!

This commercial is rare. I wonder if the Bee Gees ever turned up in a commercial plugging another Mattel musical toy, the "Bee Gees Rhythm Machine"?
