My grandfather passed away last week. He's the first grandparent I ever lost and i'm just a teenager. He's a war hero and I can now claim him as my hero (personally). The funeral was today and it was probably one of the most difficult things to ever face.

I know how you feel..my grampa was in the vietnam war when he passed away i was horrified....but i was with him till his final moments

You were with him during his final moments? For my grandfather, it was my cousin who was beside him when he died and she's the same age as me.

yeah i was i was the only one home with him ive was helping him around the house and i stayed over his house for weeks

Wow. I'm sorry I just can't think of how to really reply to that. My grandfather stayed over at my relatives' house for a month following a heart attack and I can tell you, it truly must have been painful for them.

it was and i thank you for taking the time to comment my video and watch it i relise that anyone would be deeply affected by this or anything like this i posted this video in hopes that people will learn to respect what they have and always rember it

That is a very good reason. With all this hate in the world, people need to open their eyes and respect for even being in this lifetime and showing sympathy for those who have lost a loved one.

I think what would have been cool is before my grandfather went to Heaven, is that he would call me on my cell phone (whether it was off or not) just like in "Poltergeist II". I would have liked it if that happened.

Yeah, with him actually knowing who I am and telling me what is about to happen. When I wished him my last farewell when he was alive, he lost so much weight, I hardly recognized him, and it was just really painful.

I also know for sure that the minute my grandfather got to Heaven, every dog he ever owned in his lifetime jumped on him, slobbering all over his face. I just know that happened.

tis today. A great uncle on my dad's side of the family passed away recently too. I hardly knew him so we're not going to the funeral for him this Friday. Kinda weird, a family member passing away that I never knew.

I actually had a great-grandmother who died while I was still a baby. My grandmother came over to look after me while my parents went to the funeral and according to my mom, the ride to there was hell.

This is actually kind of strange. I was seeing a play last week for the second time and during the second to last song, I had a flashback of moments with my grandfather, even a few moments during the service and the funeral. Weird isn't it?
