  • is sid's bass plugged on this?

  • @lihismies96 Was his base ever plugged in? lol

  • @tuzza688 yes, it was

  • Sound quality Is pretty good, thought is was going to suck!

  • the famous last show before they broke up little did they know that sid would die a year later

  • is this before or after sid was hit in the face with a full beer can

  • The world wasn't quite ready for ThE SeX PiStOlS...i was

  • pinches locos d los pistols neta

  • who said that you need to be talented to be a punk?Sid couldn`t play a bass,John couldn`t sing,so what??even they weren`t so talented,they were and they`re still the best punk band ever. I wish i was born in 70`s....SP 4ever <3

  • @THMM92 No one ever said you need talent. Being basic was the only thing that made punk punk

  • 3:20 lol

  • sid vicious couldnt play a shit he had no talent or ambition...a real punk ;p long live to sex pistols

  • DEFINED PUNK

  • Awesome!!

  • Paul Cook & Setve Jones kick ass! Sid blows chunks big time. He's just a coathanger(Johnyy rottens own words).Great vid.THanx for posting.

  • Come on, critics to sid? Its like saying that he wasnt punk enough, fuck your limited minds

  • Got this on vinyl as the "Welcome to the Rodeo" bootleg. nice show

  • i like the sex pistols and all but to be 100% honest their bass player fucking blows cock.

  • Damn what is it with dead crowds like this? In England the crowd would be rowdy as fuck. WTF how can a person just stand there I know I couldn't

  • @NoDestinyLive4Now

the reason being is cause 80% of the audience came to see a freak show, with all the media circus around this tour the americans just wanted to see how bad this band actually were, very few of them actually went to ''enjoy'' the music.

  • @mrbassman25

Well they missed out on an amazing band and an amazing show.

  • @NoDestinyLive4Now

definately, my dad was lucky enough to be a young man in these days, he followed the sex pistols, the clash, the ramones, stranglers, jam etc all around the UK gigs. Im very jealous.... lol. but atleast i have his old pictures of the bands to look over, oh aye and i get to steel his old Lp's, haha :-)

  • The most important band , no-one since has made a album as good

  • sid's not even playing in this video. either his bass isn't plugged in or his amp is turned all the way to 0. you can it hear in the audio, its only steve jones' guitar coming through.

  • r u high. sid cant hold shit on glen matlock.wut the fuck was sid good for?taking pictures and causing even more problems on stage.if it wuznt for glen that 1st and only album would have been shit.fuck sid vicious

  • @hammondleel94

sorry to burst your bubble, but Glen didn't record ''never mind the bollocks'' it was steve jones who recorded all the bass tracks. but your right..... Sid was an embaressment

  • i was born in a good year

  • Wanna be punkers say thry like this but its shit! Listen to new york punk!! Like the talking heads

  • @iAmMusicBox Dude, get the fuck out of here, we listen to what we chose to, because most music recommended by other youtubers sucks ass.

  • @iAmMusicBox I'm sorry but there is a vast difference between British punk and US punk. Clearly you know nothing if you're comparing the two.

  • @Donkeyn00b

    Me too

  • They're speedin so hard right now!

  • fuckk youu

  • Where is Glenn? The gentleman who wrote all the music of Never mind the bollocks, who liked the beatles & played pussy power pop with the rich kids?

Sid Vicious is the kind of guy that a 13 year old pupp would listen to and believe is the real iconic punk figure. Who cares about Richard Hell or Vic Godard? Lets stick pins in our ass and pretend we are a mix between Dee Dee & johnny thunders. As simple as that

  • @johnniehell Matlock wrote all the music, are you serious? or are you just stupid?

  • @tazzman560 A weird mix between stupidity and seriousness. Come on baby, even you know that the whole music of the record was made by Matlock (yes, even anarchy in the UK-god save the queen-Liar... etc). Fuckin' Rotten wrote the lyrics and that was it; Steve (HEAVILY influenced by Johnny Thunders) & Paul added some style, but not much. Cheers fucker!

  • an absolute fabulous time in music history

they scared the disco kids away

    nirvana did it later

    who's next?

  • @kizzle1985 Phonoburbia, look them up, trust me.

  • Love it when Steve unplugs Sids' bass. LOL!

  • actually it is plugged in A couple times when Sid swings his bass you can hear feedback. The volume on it was rite low

  • Look folks...I LOVE the Pistols. But all you Sid fans have got to get it right...he was an image only! Listen to this footage...he's not plugged in!!!!! He couldn't play!!!! Its NOT the bootleg sound! Sid was brought in by manager/manipulator Malcom McClaren to boost the bad boy image. Steve Jones played all the bass parts on Nevermind the Bollocks. Ill say it again...I LOVE the pistols, I Loved the whole Sid mythology when i was a kid but face facts guys...he was just a junkie.

  • @CClaus1120 Shut the fuck up.

  • I would kill every one of you here just to be at that show.

  • @defilr Not if I do first, fucker.

  • @defilr i would kill myself to be at that show.

  • @Donkeyn00b I'd kill myself, both of you, everyone here, Jesus, Muhammed, Buddha and that scientologist thing which I've forgotten the name of, to be at that show

  • @DrMichaelHfuhruhur

I would have killed myself before i was born to be there,or strangled myself on my mums pubes on the way out.

poor sid only had just over a year to live when this concert took place.

  • @ChannonFodder I can't top that, you win!

  • @defilr Agreed.

  • @defilr i hope i will never meet you :)

  • @defilr I would kill everyone of you and your mothers and kids to have followed that tour sids habit killed it.They tried to drag nancy to heathrow in london but couldn't..the day the sex pistols really died that ugly fat whore..I wish I could tell u how I really feel!!!

  • @defilr kill yourself

  • @defilr I think you need to re-think your priorities.

  • @defilr I would kill you first lol

  • The Rotten and the Vicious together....I wish I was there.

  • i'm 13, love punk and fucking hate this bollocks on the radio nowadays. please, for the love of humanity, someone make a GOOD punk band.

oh yeah, and linkin park sucks my dick

  • @brumbiesfan97 lol I was just gonna say that since you're 13 then you must like Linkin Park or some other shitty band, but yeah I tottaly agree with you

  • @brumbiesfan97 There are "good" punk bands, the radios just don't play it because it's not marketable.

  • sid was the sex pistols, he was an icon. he did it his way. and died... but im 17 im sick of this bullshit music now a days its all fucking crap but i shall be a pawn and influence other kids my age nd keep sid alive as long as i live.

  • where is the bass line?

poor Sid, put them just for the money! RIP

  • this style of punk needs to come back!

  • @streetphysician this style of punk is still around, all forms of music are still around, grunge, punk, classic rock, its all still here, its just not as readily available as it was back then

  • What does EMI stand for?

  • @DRUMmerPUNK3859 Electric Musical Industries

  • @PBANDSNThanks dude:)

  • i always thought this show was the best gig ever in music history.

  • @fakeis751 Possibly, LOL

  • I thought the drummer would be better. Lydon is great and Jones is fantastic, but I'm not sure about Cook.

  • @Exilemainstreet

I think that Paul Cook was actually a pretty good drummer

  • @GimbertLane Yeah, Paul Cook was pretty good, but Rat Scabies is great and John Maher was amazing. Lydon's posturing (and intelligence) aside, in hindsight the Sex Pistols simply weren't any better than average.

  • they are the best, i just dont like the fact of they being racist people

  • I listened to Green Day growing up. Unfortunately because of this I don't know how to Punk Rock... oh wait I'm punk rock as fucking shit nevermind.

  • @kevinmiles90000

I don't care if someone saids Green Day isn't punk, for me, it's punk. They do what they want, (ok, maybe on the latest album not), but they sing against war, authority,... and that's cool.

  • @PunkyF00l green day sucks! they are the tipick band for the kids. my first cd was of them but now i see how silly i was

  • @MrZermis9520

I am a kid -_-... AND I WILL NEVER GROW UP

  • whats cool about the pistols is that johnys voice gets leaved the same in the recordin and sounds the same live

  • what the hell is so wrong with green day its this generations "punk'' i no its not clash ramones or pistols but cmon

  • You can`t play E.M.I. to the people in Dallas :D They had no idea what that was

  • this audience is fucking bullocks

  • @chakadoodledoo What are they supposed to do to be approved? Not show up?

  • they got paided by emi...then dropped...and they didn't record for them either if I remember right....they tore up their {EMI} office bad which had a bit to do with it.

  • What do you think Steve Jones is doing at 6.36, when he walks across, goes over to Sid's side & does something? The guitar stops for a second too... was Sid caught in his lead, did somebody threw something on the stage or what? These gigs in the deep South must have been really tense; they had a public image/reputation to live up to & there were plenty of rednecks who wanted to have a go at them & provoked them... they still sound great. Thanks for posting this, never seen this gig's film entire

  • @kidcalabria i reckon sid fell over, looks like steve is offering him a hand up. and yh right theyre brave bastards to do these types of gigs, potentially playing to a bunch of shotgun weilding republicans

  • If I could perfect the Sid Vicious smirk my life would be complete

  • They pulled it off without a base player. TALENT!

  • I fucking love Sid but now I understand why Johnny hated him that would annoy the fuck out of me u can just see it on Johnnys face

  • yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • fuckin brilliant

  • the bassist looks like saint jimmy

  • has anyone read 12 Days on the road The Sex Pistoles and America? best book ever it was written by the guy who was with them through everything

  • I hate it when Sid does the spazzy faces.

  • @JTF12795

Agreed. He was a terrible bass player but it didn't matter because, well look at him...

  • Fuckin' iconic.

I wonder where all those old cunts in the audience are now?

  • this is real punk...not the shitty wannabes nowadays

  • @virusAlex20

To be fair the Sex Pistols were techincally put together. There are a lot of punk bands around today that have way more of so called "street cred" than the Sex Pistols ever had.

  • The last song this crowd heard before the Sex Pistols came onstage was probably some over-produced piece of crap by the f---ing Bee Gees. Thank you, Steve Jones, for some real guitar-driven rock. Steve Jones is playing a raw sound deliberately, but make no mistake, he is right in the pocket, he and the drummer Paul Cook are a tight rhythm section. Too bad about Sid, the sound still needs an actual bass player.

  • What do you mean image-wise? I love the sex pistols but sid looks like a complete asshole to me and he couldn't play a note. I didn't know him in person of course but that's the image of him i'm getting.

  • @Hanske90 So? Sid had no image but that's what's so awesome about him

  • Sid Vicious: Live fast, die young.

  • Never undestood the big deal about this group then or now.

  • @bartonbob2 they were one of the first to start the wheels of punk rock

  • @bartonbob2 They have fun catchy raw songs. There is no big deal, the punk thing was the big commotion. The music is good though.

  • well they are great

  • That Ballroom is a complete shit hole

  • You know what would make that song better? A bassline.

  • @HolyFerdinand You shitting me? For the sake of the song, keep that bass unplugged please.

  • max-don remember this

  • That is just sid's signature style! lol...dont hate! The sex pistols are my favorite band.....i know every single song by them...and all the lyrics to every song....plus I know alot of their songs on bass....i might be the world's biggest sex pistols fan!

  • @TheFilthyAndTheFury if you were that big of a fan you would know that Sid HAD no style. He wasn't even an original member. He had nothing to do whatsoever with Nevermind the Bullocks.

  • Man, i wish i was John Christopher Lydon, i would be so proud of my son

  • i have this concert in video. is good !!

  • would have been funny to hear the gig with sid actually plugged in. Steve was playing very well by this point, Cookie was a competent drummer, unfortunately Sid was a cartoon joke. With Glen Matlock, the Pistols would have been a great little rock n' roll band.

  • @haggisman1971 he is plugged,it's juts low in the mix, you can even hear him playing wrong notes and then changing to the correct one here and there

  • Thanks Internet!

  • Sid couldnt play bass...period, all image.

  • @WayniacEsq thats not true .he wasnt the best bass player around but he could play a little .i mean come on its punk

  • "dont judge a book by its cover"...ironic, mr lydon, seeing as vicious was invited into the band solely on the basis of the way he looked

  • ya denizens of the deep and the real creators of music we were, you all have no clue listening to this shit rap and stupid girls getting naked singing shit about how they been dumped . pop..my band and i hung with the pistols, iggy and many others, knew what music was all about..damn i feel sorry for you all who have to listen to the shit they make now

  • and when sid hits the dude in the head you hear it

  • Comment removed

  • it looks like steve plugged sid in actually idk i could still hear the bass

  • what time does steve unplug sid?

  • BODIEEEES NANANANANANA. hahaha cant understand a shit of what they say

  • booodiieeeesss.... i'm not an animal

  • Thats awesome, never caught that Steve goes over and unplugs Sid! lol

  • E M I tan nanana EMI Tan nanana

  • I'm sorry to be the only one that thinks this, but the SEX PISTOLS were never the same without Sid.

I think (image-wise) Sid and Johnny were a team.

  • @madeyes4u TRUE

  • @madeyes4u The Sex Pistols we´re never the same WITH Sid, Glen Matlock was brilliant, and he was 10 times more punk than the "Punks" around, baggy jeans, really?

  • @madeyes4u They never self destructed with Glen Matlock.

  • @madeyes4u Image wise Sid suited the band, but there old bassist Glen Matlock co-wrote the songs, he wrote God save the queen, even Paul Cook and Steve Jones said he wrote most of the songs.

  • @madeyes4u Sid joined the band shortly towards the end of the Pistols. He didn't write any of the music and he didn't play anything on the album and Sid tried to out do John

  • @sagan1 Sid played bass on "Bodies" for Nevermind the Bollocks, and wrote "Belsen Was a Gas", "Bodies", and "Holidays in the Sun."

  • @watchika2 he didn't play them on the album, he helped write them, but they hired Glenn Matlock as a studio musician

  • @madeyes4u fuck images

  • @madeyes4

u you cant think of the pistols without instantly thinking of sid.

  • @madeyes4u

"I'm sorry to be the only one that thinks this, but the SEX PISTOLS were never the same without Sid"

You are right because they broke up before sid died, sid was with the band when they broke up.

  • @BunWackettBuzzard i agred with you, sex pistols would be worst than they were

  • @BunWackettBuzzard so your point was????????????

  • @BunWackettBuzzard on top of that sid couldn't play bass to save his fucking life

  • @BunWackettBuzzard Not to mention Sid could play the needle far better than he could ever play the bass. And we now know he didn't play either particularly well.

  • @BunWackettBuzzard you're so right when you said sid was the band. sid was maybe one of the biggest posers in punk rock. i mean literal poser. you hear the bass in this, that's not him. sid couldnt play bass. look it up. so you're so right. sid was the band. the band were poser junkies. devo is probably 10 times punker than them.

  • Sounds right to me. And it was all about image for them, and they had a damn good one.

  • This was punk. Full-on F.U. ATTITUDE....Before the era of 'political correctness' and conformity you young wankers grew up in.

  • Hahahaha why would a punk say "F.U."?

  • @johnsain

don't worry. there's still plenty of people screaming fuck you. the quality of the music has just degraded. its hard to find real punk now a days. its there, but all the good shit is underground. or its gone all alternative-punk.

also its insulting to call us all conformist wankers... so you can go fuck yourself to. even though half of us probably are conformist wankers. :D

  • yes smokey it is, they were trying to rid him of his heroin addiction, by keeping him drunk, and watching him like a hawk. they just didn`t understand how bad his addiction was, pretty sad. so like any addict, he advertised to the audience, and got what he was after, in texas no less lol.their american tour was such a disaster because of heroin, you can tell they have no will left in these shows, it`s very sad.

  • "I don't want a baby that looks like me"

    BO!

  • the refrain sounds exactly like roadrunner...

    "radio on!" = "EMI!"

  • Comment removed

  • is this the show were Sid carves 'gimmie a fix' into his chest

  • @smokey763

lol yeah I wanna know this too.

  • The song, "EMI", are they making fun of the record company? Or does that stand for something?

  • Yes, they making fun of the record company. :)

  • @madeyes4u they made fun of them because after the pistols released their firsst single Anarchy In The UK, they were dropped from their lable, EMI! So this song gets them revenge.

  • No shit. Listen to the fucking lyrics, "Goodbye A&M." Read something into that you stupid twat.

  • @swerdna12069 No, they say EMI

  • My favorite cultural confrontation ever. :-)

  • fuck off cutns!!! THIS IS PUNK!!!!!!

  • Finally someone who got a brain..and understand that this ain't some pop music..IT'S PUNK..=)

  • Who cares if you think sid vicious sucks!!! Hes more entertaining to watch than ANY of them, thats why hes a ledgend and the others are old washed up loosers. Neil young said it best, "better to burn out than to fade your old stanky ass away"

  • ♫ Fuck this and Fuck that...♫

lol at Steve ripping Sid's chord out.

  • You a-holes who says sid was a loser who couldn't play and shit like that obiesly don't get that punk ain't supposed to tound perfect..!!! <3sid<3

  • This coming from someone named greendayandsum41? Priceless...

  • TRUE MATE! fuck this fucking idiots 'round! GET LOOSE!!!!

  • I'ts good to know that there is someone who gets it out there..! =D
