Also agree with jasontaylor. They advertise to families like the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo BBQ is for them. It is NOT for families or those not connected to a BBQ team. If a business did that type of advertising, the tv stations consumer reporters would jump all over them. I tell people to stay away and explain. They thank us later when they get more educated about the BBQ.
I hate to bring bad news, but if you think you are going to the BBQ cook-off and sample some great food here is a word of advice.
My family went out there years ago, at that time we paid about $ 6.00 each. We walked and walked looking for some food. All we saw was "Private Party... by invite only". Yea, row after row. Finally we saw a tent handing out 'tube steak', a small link of sausage on white bread with some BBQ sauce on top. What a royal ripoff.
@dhansel001 Totally agree with dhansel001. He was lucky to get that. Usually a bunch of gound beef smothered in sauce. Do NOT attend if you are not a part of the team or their invited guest. Spend your money at you local BBQ restaurant and rent a Western DVD. You will not regret taking our advice.
yeah our rodeo sucks used to be good but now you cant even think about trying that pig in the first shot without working for some company that rented the spot only for the people that work for it. Houston rodeo sucks hell I live here

Don't bother paying the $ 10.00 (2010) .
