There are probably more hippies today than in the 60s. The difference is that we don't attract so much attention anymore because we are really scattered. There are very few areas where you will find a high concentration of hippies / beatniks / bohemians. Most of the old haunts have been totally gentrified.

Is there a soundtrack listing for this documentary? I am trying to find the title of a song I heard in this documentary while watching it on television. However, the song was a slow guitar solo without words.....so I don't have any base to start searching with.....thanks. By the way it was towards the end of the documentart (maybe a half hour to go until the end including commercials) so I doubt it would be in the first half.

I was in the Haight Ashbury as a 17 year old "Flower Child", turning on, tuning in and dropping out...and having the the time of my life! I actually wrote a book about it Titled: "Autobiography of a Hippie: 1964 through 1969" If you Google the title , you can check it out. Cheers!
