  • I know this is extremely early, but does UAD have any plans to do a smaller 2 preamp version? I'm in the market for something like this, but don't need all the IO and a smaller version along the size of a duet/mbox would be incredible for a project studio at around $1000.

  • I like. I'll share from my profile in facebook tomorrow in the evening

Thanks to groovetechnicians sent me. Bye

  • This combined with the Liquid Channel im about to grab makes the perfect home studio combo.

Heard about the partnership with API that is also great news UA is killing the game right now

  • @UniversalAudio :: Love this device! Wish I had the money for it though (Haha). What's the band and song?

  • this look good but i agree with gorillachilla why the £800 extra for uk is this Tax?

  • I will be getting one of these bad boys together with UA 4-710P mic pre to go along with my API's. I should be good to go.

  • dunno what i want the most ... that interface or taking that dudette out for a coffee..

  • i just viewed the price for usa it is $2499 and uk price is, Apollo Quad UK RRP: £2699 inc VAT but in dollars to pounds it is £1606 so why on earth is it charging £800 extra???

  • @gorillachilla freight, import tax + a whole new line of vendors and store management who want their cut for selling it to you.

  • @gorillachilla Hi All, Apollo prices vary from dealer to dealer. Please contact your local UA dealer for pricing. We have a dealer locator on our website.

  • @UniversalAudio ive realised that im not after watching the usa price trust me im not paying 800 quid extra its a huge disappointment

  • wow !

  • This is incredible!! I wonder can u also use the internal uad card to power plug ins in your daw as well as the pre mixer?

  • @dmoates420 Yep. I just read the manual from UA's site. LOL. I think they also mention it on their videos and on their site. The DSP power can be used for recording, mixing, and monitoring. This is the first gear that gave me G.A.S in 2012...well...the Moog Minitaur did a bit too.

  • My next purchase :) Please don't make the Australian RRP stupidly expensive.

  • all great except, why can' this support any other plugin brand:

(waves, softube, pspaudioware, sonalksis, sonnox etc) to save cpu hog.

  • @Eumusic1 Sonnox coming SOON!

  • @Eumusic1 It's UA's proprietary plugin architecture. Different native plugs have different efficiency needs and to make them all behave with the same latency is difficult and requires compensation which make for additional latency. Especially in real-time. When the plugs are built for a given hardware based technology they are more uniform. Which makes them more powerful and ultimately less latency. Same thing for the Protools format TDM. Which by the way doesn't mean they sound better!!

  • @rarteaga

    thx4tech info.

  • I'm so excited about this that it's hard to contain myself!

  • damb! you got such a cool band to do your commercial!
