i was on this on 10/09/10. this ride has 9 settings, 1 being tame to 9 being most extreme. usually they don't do 9 until the last ride of the day. however if your lucky to be standing in the Q with staff on a day out then your in for a treat. i got drenched plus the jets were cranked to full power :)

The run you just saw is still built into the rides computer control unit. Manuel control is all but banned these days. The soakings are still aloud in summer or if a member of staff like myself gets on the ride. If there are staff on its gona be a good ride =D

Ahhh I duno who it was then. My work only takes me between towers street, Oblivion, Rita and mutiny bay. I have never actually had to go that far across park. I know the nemesis team tho so once the park opens for season I will see if I can find out who the new op is thats just as amazing.

They used to have a ride exactly like that at Geauga Lake in Aurora, oh a long time ago ... im 30 years old right now and I remember riding it when i was like oh i dont know 12 to 14 years old ... it sticks out in my mind because my dad couldnt ride it because he was to TALL of all things ( he was 6'6" )

Fair enough, LOL! Sounds like she had the most miserable manager on the park though! I used to work for HB Leisure so got to watch RipSaw all day and some of the ops would take great pleasure in making sure not a single person got off the ride dry. I used to work at Towers and sometimes the operators could be completely evil! I've seen so many people get off it completely and absolutely soaked to the skin. Also, if people waiting in the cue started taunting the ops (light-heartedly and on purpose) they too would get a drenching... Its possible to lock the car so the base of it (with "Can you cut it?" on) hits the water jets flat so it sends water (more than you would imagine) over the people in the queue!! Good times!

"Evil" is giving you a bad ride. Anywho, I'm fairly sure top spins run on presets. You'd have to be a ninja to do it manually.

It does run on "presets" (usually 9) which if to be given names would include "lets see if we can make them puke", "You are NOT getting off this dry!", "So you think you're going to stay dry just because you're not on the ride?". Depending on how much taunting the ride op gets (and how up for a laugh the customers are) the ride op decides which preset to select. Incidentally the RIP SAW is used as an example vid on the manufacturers website.
