To import an R34 GT-R into the US you need to have the car come without the engine and then order the engine separately and call it a 'kit car'.

I've heard recently though the police in the US are actively searching for these cars and impounding them... such a shame.

The v spec is not us legal because the RB26 doesnt pass emmision standards but the GTT Tiptronic is legal because it does not have the RB26

I belive that it is legal to import the car but I think something has to be done the the engine for it to be legal

@iDiOtWiTaGuN008 all imports have to be13 years or older to import to canada by dealers and nothing has to be done to the engine but it will cause alotta problems with gettin it safetied cus its right hand drive

It's not illegal if you have it shipped in parts and assemble it on your own. It falls under a different jurisdiction when you do that.

The R34 can be imported but you have to have Nissan downgrade the engine so it'll be legal, then after that like PinkPanther094 said just buy an engine that's not downgraded and throw it in the car. Trust me R34's are in America, I saw one drive by me in Idaho awhile back. IN IDAHO! Also there is a video of a guy pulling into his highschool with an r34 in America so it's not impossible to get one here.

i saw 2 in san diego..is the blue r34 driving pass me when i was on my way to work..and the r32 gun metal one which i was on my way home... and where can i get this car in california???? and i tested driven one in laos..and is a r34 gts with a sun roof. and they converted to left hand steering with an offer for 15,000 thousand..and i don't know how to read in km..the owner said is about 8,000mile..WOW~!!!!and is it silver with hks bov. and enkei rims

True they aren't if they're stock, in order to have them imported you have to have Nissan downgrade the engine.
