This isn't a wow clone. This is a blatant Aion clone. The UI is almost completely copy pasted from it, and the art direction, character creation, character selection screen, are all extremely similar. And no it's not just borrowing like most would consider.

Aion had a pretty unique approach to the finer details such as UI and the approach to the format of screens. It's obvious that Aion was the direct source for inspiration they drawed from.

hybrid means the fusion of two different things.

In this case:

RTS Elements(town building, resource collection, ship building) VS RPG elements(character progression, questing, dungeons)

Click-to-target combat mode VS nontargeting combat mode(game contains both and you can switch between them)

Questing without fighting (your adventure level goes up from exploring, doing non-combat, quests, getting achievements) VS Fighting (your Battle level goes up from fighting, doing dungeons)

Leveling is a concept to give players a sense of progression and to keep them from using everything a game has to right off the bat. It ain't stupid...but it IS old...and we could use some more....console game-ish concepts as seen in Zelda or something. But it's not gonna fuckin' HAPPEN because MMO=Profit Quest. They'll make what sells.

I'm in the closed beta right now, and I have to say, I'm liking it. I didn't like it after the first hour or two, deleted it off my pc, reinstalled it to give it another go, and now I'm actually enjoying it! Granted, I feel like the graphics aren't AMAZING, but I mean it's f2p. So they aren't bad considering that little gem. Now the only thing that I'm not crazy about is the amount of armor at low levels, but character creation prevents the "clone" epidemic in some f2p mmo's.

Im playing the game anyone who thinks this game is a hack n slash they're wrong, its pretty diff. than any game but has lots of the good same mechanics.You can go into an aiming mode, or you can select target with mouse or tab, you can move with mouse OR wasd, it's not a grinder you level through quests so if you play with a party quest finishes faster you level faster, and you actually spam lots of skills. Decent variety of skills though could be better. Suggest trying it out its DIFFERENT.
