    THANK YOU VERY MUCH! :D:D

  • so what exactly is the soundcard for?

  • @mcrockband13 you need it if you want to hear a different audio stream on your headphones.

  • ok how I can listen deck 1 when deck 2 is playing and recording at the same time ? please somebody to tell me on PM

  • @Luxneonify

u need a usb sound card

they go on ebay for 5bucks not sure.

then connect ur usb sound card, open vdj, config, config audio.

then on output chose headphones sound cards chose 2cards

now sound card click on primary sound card thts for the first 1

and for the second card click on speaker( usb sound device)

    thanks

  • wat god traktor or virtual dj n im a begnner so i wnt turntables for those programs were can i get 1

  • @geniousdeeson I haven't tried Traktor, so i can't tell. If you're a total beginner, i would recommend you begin with the software only, so if things don't work out, you won't have spent 600$ on turntables. When you decide to continue, decide on what hardware: vinyl, virtual vinyl, CDs, digital? there's a lot of information on the web about each type, how to use it, what gear to buy, etc. Just search on google and youtube. good luck ;)

  • @geniousdeeson Best thing is to first buy a not so expensive midi control and VDJ, buy a usb soundcard on ebay for a buck or two in order to cue your music

  • @geniousdeeson dude i have both trak and vdj and if u trully are a beginnes i strongly recommend you use virtual dj,...the software only...try that and as u progressively get better move on and try out the controllers..traktor is quite a bit complicated for a beginner..best regards

  • okk but it work in two sound cards..? the laptop and other? good luck in your exams

  • @rangedpro94 yes with two soundcards it should work like a DJ needs it to work ;)

  • eeh , moet je persee 2e geluidskaart

    ??

  • in my laptop i have sound card!! and ples help how i can hear in headphone and spekars in the same timeee ples pless pless help!!:))

  • okk but how i can hear in headphone and spekars in the same timeee?!! ples ples just sayy to me what to do!!:) pless!! pless!!

  • @rangedpro94 I think my video is very clear how to do this, if not you'll have to ask somebody else because i have to study for my exams. Good luck!

  • ok ok thxX:) but how can i hear in headphone and spekars in the same time ples help that my qustion!!

  • i just can hear it in headphone ?!! pless helpp?!!

  • if i dont have the sound card/... dont work?

  • @rangedpro94 you won't be able to hear 1 track on the speakers and another on your headphones.

  • how do you play the 2 samples at the same time??

  • press play on both, making sure both volume faders are up and the crossfader is in the middle

  • @yvesmdjgryphon where i found ( play on both) ??!! help pless

  • @crazysjim use the samples tab, see watch?v=qqO_ya3ky6k

  • hey thanks for the video..But i have question. I just have my DJ midi controller and it works with virtual dj..but the only problem is...when i play the music,i can't hear it..so is it because i dun have a sound card?? it said "there's error with ASIO sound driver"..so should i buy a USB soundcard like yours and problem will be solved? Thanks(:

  • could be a number of problems. If your controller is midi only, no built-in soundcard, then you need two soundcards (or one 4.1 card) as in the video. First thing I would try is reinstall the audio driver. Then check the settings of both VDJ and ASIO.

  • It's the Vestax VCI-100 Midi controller and it's a plug and play..Im not sure, but I think it allows people to directly play it after unboxing by just pluging the headphone to the computer..but im not sure..so is your USB soundcard just a normal ones? Thanks*(:

  • the vci 100 is a controller, a replacement for mouse & keyboard, nothing else. you still need to be able to send two different audio streams. For that, you need two soundcards or one 4.1 card. Any "usb soundcard" should do.

  • ok! so i just need one usb soundcard like wt u did in the video, right? btw..thanks for everything,,big help..(:

  • i think so yes, and you're welcome ;)

  • do u know which type of USB soundcard should i choose? how many channels? thanks =D

  • any type should do, 2 ch is enough

  • thank you same setup everything works DJ'ing time lol

look on amazon or ebay for cheaper usb sound cards for about 1 euro lol

  • i have this same setup but the output in my headphones is muffled for some reason. is there any way to fix this. sound card and headphones work fine. When trying to have simultaneous output it gets muffled. please help!

  • I'm sorry I have no idea what could cause that, I'm afraid I can't help you.

  • GET A MAC!

  • oh please. I don't tell you what to wear and eat, do I?

  • does your second soundcard has a heaphone and mic input? because all i've found in stores are this kind of soundcards, a headphone and a mic inputs...

  • Yes, headphones out and mix in to be exact.

  • if i have a desktOp... do i still need to buy that second USB soundcard?

  • depends. If the soundcard in your desktop is less than 4.1 channels, yes. If not, you can try the 4.1 soundcard option.

(you can know this by looking at the outputs: if you only have one audio out, it's not 4.1)

  • thanks dude

  • what if i have two headphone jacks o n my laptop

  • if they can send out different audio streams, then that might work. Use the "4.1 soundcard" option.

  • Why not just get your Soundcard to split your output into 2 "sound cards"?

  • If that's possible with you, it might work :)

Never heard of this solution though.

  • In my sound driver I have a option called:

"Make front and rear output devices playback two different audio streams simultaneously"

  • Ah yes, you have a 4.1 (or more) soundcard. VDJ can use this for two streams. So you don't need a second soundcard :)

  • I just saw :), My friends front outputs did't work, so we used this solution ;)

  • I done this and it worked =) but, the problem is, HOW am I going to play the song I'm listening on the headset if the settings are First Soundcard is the Master (speakers on laptop in this case) and Second soundcard is the headset, because I don't get it =/ although I tried! Maybe I set them wrong but still, I couldn't get the song that I'm listing on the headset on the speakers =/

    Cheers and thanks for sharing.

  • I hope I get this right. You're hearing a song on your headphones and now you want to play it on the speakers (eg mixing it in). Then you'll have to make sure that that song is also on 'Master'. This is done by making sure the volume fader of that channel is up and the crossfader is in the middle (for a mix) or to the side of your song (for that one only. This should get your song on the speakers. If it doesn't help, shoot another comment ;)

  • Yes exactly. But if volume fader of that channel is up and the crossfader is in the middle as long as I'm playing it on the headset, to set the cue and pitch it, if its on the master too there will be a total mess until you pitch it etc. Is it possible I set the sound settings like real cdjs or turntables work!? If yes how?

    Thankx and Cheers!

  • well, before you're ready to mix, you have to put the crossfader to the other side, or put the volume fader down.

  • But if the crossfader is at the other side or the volume is down you can't even hear it on headset at least that happend to me when I tried it. If I set the settings as shown in the video you think I would do something? And thanks again mate.

  • the only thing i can think of is PFL, this has to be selected on the channel you want to hear through the headphones.

  • where do you get the sound card? i cant find them anywehre.

  • The only negative feature about DJ programs is they give you the option of beat matching automatically. Real gear is handled manually. The amount of effects on them Virtual DJ program is great also.

  • about beat matching buttons: no problem that they're there, made for people who want to dj with that, or in emergencies :)If you want to learn how to beatmatch yourself however, you'll have to resist using it ;)

  • True. Would you mind testing out that feature I mentioned with the headphone control at the top of the mixer in Virtual DJ. I don't use Virtual DJ anymore but I would like to know if I was right about that feature. Thanks.

  • those headphone options definitely work, but they refer to the software interpretation of "headphones", as VDJ can't know what you're using. You need to configure this so VDJ sends the HP output (what you select with PFL, and according to the volume and cue mix) to the right channel. You need two soundcards (or one 4.1 soundcard, or a mono-separated system) to have 2 different sound outputs (master en headphones.

  • I agree 100% with your philosophy about starting with a DJ program. Virtual DJ is also probably one of the best programs to start with for someone who has a financial budget.

I used Virtual DJ to get a lot of experience and skills before actually hitting the decks when I got my gear.

The only thing I'm not quite certain about is the use of a second sound card. There is a *headphone* option near the top left side on the program itself for switching channels. But I never used it.

  • hey kikorski, m8 how can i connect a external speaker with my headphone. what cables do i need please ? pls give me some links for tutorials. thx
