I don't consider myself as a great drummer or a sound specialist. Just an average french drummer playing his snare in front of his cam, direct sound, in my home cinema room.
The heads are the original Ludwig.
I have many snares, this one is the only i did not tune high, just by personal taste.

Hey stainwalk, invest in some quality headphones. This example is so much better than any close miced vids I've seen.

How is it tuned? Any muffling? It really sounded awesome!

Tune it higher. :) It sounds a little boxy, but that just be because of where the camera is located, and how bad the sound quality is.
