I saw Michael McDonald a couple of times and Willie Weeks, the bass player, several times during my time at a store just outside of Nashville, Tn. Never talked to Mike but Willie was a cool guy. He's playing with Eric Clapton now.

Watch your tuning...at 2:27 "Every Time I Hear..." seems flat or out of key. There are a few snippets where you sound pretty good. Maybe you should try to get a version with the vocals stripped out. Watch the "angry" faces. (furrowed brow) A little weird looking... maybe it's because your eyes are looking straight ahead? Keep singing!

I think you summed it up well at the end. You DID go over the top with Michael's part, however, when you sung the female vocals that was very nice. In fact that's the voice I suggest you do singing in the future, it's much more natural. The other voice at times was a little scary, but good effort though. I love this song too. I wouldn't mind doing a cover version myself, but I don't know where I could get the instrumental from as yet.
