I got to see this actual car at the Detroit International Auto Show, it was pretty bad ass. Especially since Subaru was sitting kiddie corner with both Dodge and Ford, and the STI was easily visible from the Mustang and Challeger displays. this is the record for a production sedan. but the sti they used wasn't really production, it was a hybrid of the jdm and usdm models of the sti. still pretty impressive imo, considering the cars it beat cost 3-6 times as much.

This track as you say is the Nürburgring Nordschleife, pretty much one of the most famous track in the world - It's in all the Gran Turismo games and you can look it up on Youtube. The world record would be around 5.15 mn but with some insane race cars that we specially built for it.

This track is over 12 miles long. Sorry 4 seconds is not that impressive especially with 7 years to do it. In real racing you have braking,cornering and actual skill unlike the 1/4 mile. There are alot more variables involved thence 4 seconds. not impressive.
