0:25 The triplet canisters are completely wrong. 1) They should be red, 2) They should be tilted, and 3) they were all close together in the movie.

0:29 The cables around the tires should be black & blue, not red & gold.

0:36 This is clearly a 1982, whereas the one in the movie was a 1981. Epic fail.

Along with other major flaws, I'd have to say - this is one of the worst replicas I've ever seen. A great car has been ruined. This video is a video of rape; automotive rape.

I sat in a turbo Delorean last weekend. It was fantastic! The car was really comfortable and it had a performance exhaust. The owner was real cool and fired it up for me. It had a deep growl to it. The owner had put a 140 mph speedo and Delorean's autograph was on the dash. Fantastic car!

Deloreans weren't designed to be supercars. It was designed in a time were looks counted more than performance. The fastest car at the time they were built was the Porsche 911 turbo. It had a 0-60 of 6 seconds in 1981. However there were 2 turbo Deloreans built by Legend Industries. They used a pair of IHI turbos and had a 0-60 of 5.8 seconds. The company went under before they could be mass produced with the turbo option.

Only 2 of them were built with the IHI turbo option. However there is a company out of New Jersey now that makes a twin turbo system for the Delorean. You can also get Stage 2 performance upgrade from the new Delorean motor company that adds 70 more horsepower to the PRV engine. IHI turbos were also used on the Ferrari 288 GTO.
