First of all Ron Paul is not a part of the Liberty Dollar, he just supports it and they support him. Secondly, the difference between printing money out of thin air and minting real money is what it is made of or backed by. Make sure the central office knows about this so they can gt a better idea if this is widespread. Alex Jones will be able to get the word out fast because usually what he reports ends up going viral. First of all Ron Paul is not a part of the Liberty Dollar, he just supports it and they support him. Secondly, the difference between printing money out of thin air and minting real money is what it is made of or backed by. Federal Reserve Notes are made out of paper (well, cotton actually) and are backed by nothing concrete. Liberty Dollars are made with silver or gold and the few paper ones are backed by silver and gold.

What Liberty dollar was doing wrong was using the name 'dollar' and looking somewhat like regular dollars. Google 'berkshares' for an example of LEGAL alternative currency.

If you have ever held a Liberty Dollar you would know instantly that it cannot be mistaken for a Federal Reserve Coin. It is MUCH heavier and looks very different. I have handed them over to many clerks and no one mistook it for anything but real silver. Also, people who use them are very open about telling everyone that they are NOT "legal tender", because that is the whole point.
