not the best technique in terms of picking or vibrato but you play hard and you play well. There's a sweet bluesy character throughout and its awesome. If you were playing that through a nicer amp it would sound amazing.

Stevie used 13's tuned down to E-flat. I doubt this guy is using anything bigger than the super bulllets 9's that came on his Strat.

stevie didnt use 13's for very long. For the most part of his career he used 12's, then after his rehab stage and late career he went down on size to 11's i think.

Very nice playing. Lovely SRV riffs there & a nice Strat. Re the two 'sliding' chords in the very opening riff try this instead - it's actually just a minor triad (or an aug5thsus4th if you use its jazz name!) used in both jazz & blues. Take an open D7 shape & move it 'up' to the 4th,3rd, & 2nd frets - sllide it from the 3rd to the 5th fret position after the riff; ditto in 8th to 10th fret (based on half-tone drop tuning).
