When you can hear the characters' dialogue pauses, inflections, and facial expressions in the music... you've either watched the movie too much, or the music's very well composed.

It was a ballad about a woman who disguised herself as a man and fought in the army. She was well known not because she did something significant, but because she almost got away with crossdressing for 12 years in an extremely misogynistic society. At least that's what i think happened. at any rate, there's no solid proof that she even existed.
