I wish I started playing when I was about 12.. Could have nearly been as good as her by now! haha.. One thing that makes me laugh, is the sticks look about as long and wide as her arms! What a little champion though!
She has incredible fluidity. Now, I wonder what band she'll form or which band will pick her up because she's playing music of a style and genre that the musical wannabes of this day and age couldn't play in a hundred years.
Awesome! I think the only issue I see is she needs to work on her technique. Instead of "hacking" at the drums she should back off for better motion for her attacks. She would be able to pull off more technical moves. But at her age she is down right awesome! Keep it up.
@CptUnknown Ummm..she holds her sticks near the end and "hacks" because at 12 years old she's just not physically strong enough to back off. Watch her circular waves with the sticks, it's not "hacking" it's using the skills that a slender, young person has at this age and she does it magnificently. As she plays more, her physical strength and stamina will no doubt increase and then she won't have to wind up to get the same sound. Give her time.

@tyme4mike I watched an intervuew with Neal Pearts' drum teacher Freddy Gruber not too long ago. One of the things he said in the video is that it is not the hit that matters the most, it is the dance between beats that determines the sound. As well he talks about circular motion and not hitting linear. This is something that this guy worked on his whole life, this little girl seems to have found it right away.
the brain's frontal lobes exponentially grow with age from 16 until 25. right now parts of her brain are playing catch up, wait and see her when she is 16-18. if her father keeps it up, she will be unstoppable !!!

She's not amazing if you listen closely the double bass clumps up and becomes in significant and she has many different timing throughout the hole video.
i didn't know what's a drumkit when i was 12! of course, i can play better than her NOW, but when she's my age, she'll probably do better than my age now.
That's awesome, but I could do that (okay, not QUITE as good as that) and I'm 14 and I've only been playing for 2 1/2 years. Still, great drumming nonetheless.

Typical of many kiddy drummers on youtube, though. Fantastic chops and technique - but she can't actually play in time to the music very well at all.
It doesn't for her matter at that age, she has plenty of time to put that right - but I can't help wondering if she isn't practising the wrong stuff?

i like slipkknot not for the music per say but the individuals thesmselves. They all grew up together as brothers and wont let anybody fuck with that. There all very in tune with there reality and world around them. Keeping a brotherhood intertwined through live and death. "THE KNOT" get it? aww nevermind.....

She's not amazing if you listen closely the double bass clumps up and becomes in significant and she has many different timing throughout the hole video.

That's awesome, but I could do that (okay, not QUITE as good as that) and I'm 14 and I've only been playing for 2 1/2 years. Still, great drumming nonetheless.
