@gwenregtho Happy New Year to you as well, i sent an email to the former choir director, Maurice Culpepper, let's hope he still has some cassettes available. i need to hear that song now...
That song, Showers Of Blessings, stuck in my head. I am praying that I will log on one day and find it, along with some of Dr. Greer's sermons. BACK IN THE DAY, I had a pack of sermons on cassettes (remember those :-). They got lost along the road of life. Thank God for you caring enough to share as you did. You have blessed me. I thank God for you.
@gwenregtho Thank you, and i thank God for you as well... yes i remember cassettes, still have a few. Since i'm here in Atlanta, you would think it would be easy to find, but to no avail. I won't give up looking for those old choir members, i had some tapes back in the day, before Youtube... If i had known then i would one day be uploading songs i would not have lost them, i would have put them in a safe deposit box, at my bank.LOL Have a wonderful day...
Thanks a million for sharing! This takes me back to standing in the choir with my mom when a child. I wish someone would post some of Dr. Greer's Sermons. I would love to hear HOW OT DEAL WITH A SNAKE BITE. If anyone knows where I can get some of the old skool music and sermons please let me know. registerg51@gmail.com
@gwenregtho You are most welcome... I'm on the lookout for any broadcast tapes, from back then. I would love to hear, "The Showers of Blessings", song they use to come on the air with.
You know I hear many saints say, why don't we sang this songs like we use to? Well, with so many people starting new churches these days...why don't all we old Gospel Saints get together and start a church of the old landmark????? This is a great number!
***Shaking my head in happiness and shock*** ...You just don't hear songs like this in church anymore. Fact about it, you barely have choirs in church's now, it's almost sad. PRAISE GOD FOR THIS SONG, THE PSALMIST, and for the saint who posted this. JUST JESUS!!!
Yes. The banquet is this Friday at Fort McPherson and I believe that you can pay for the ticket at the door. They are $35. The prayer breakfast for the Women of Greatness is Saturday at 10 am. The tickets are $5. And then the finale is on Sunday at the Holiday inn Select on Capitol Ave. in Atlanta, GA. That will be the service for his appreciation. Naturally, the service is free. I look forward to seeing you there.
He does. The name of our church is called Divine Love Fellowship United in Christ. We are localed on 401 Capitol Ave in Atlanta, GA in the Holiday Inn Select.

Roberts Temple COGIC made this song famous in the 30's, 40's and 50's sung by the gospel pearls, they came on the radio singing this sung and then it hit the national church
