  • Quit hating you wankers! Great job guys. There is a lot of talking, but it's an online video program. They'll figure out a good balance and mix in time. I say keep it up guys. I'd like more on Rally and Drift events. F1, Nascar and Bikes are covered by everyone and their grandmothers. More interviews, more in-depth specs/details, and more reviews. Reviews of sports cars, luxury cars, but MOST IMPORTANTLY, EVERYDAY DRIVERS!!!!!!! Leave the Ultra-Hyper-Supercars to the boys from Top Gear UK.

  • Got to admit the guy named Phattymeister below my comment is Correct and I'm from Detroit !!! Show the plant in Ohio and the line or something, you do a deservice to the Drive channel .

  • why don't you assholes shut the fuck up and show the cars? Fucken idiots

  • @Phattymeister this guy is right !!!

  • CHRIS REVIEWS ALL NEW SPORT CARS!

  • Awesome stuff guys!!! If I could subscribe 1000 times I would. Sounds like were in for some great programming and based on what I've seen, we wont be disappointed!

  • Nice one there Leo at the end "because its not twat" I couldnt breath there for a minute haha!

I have to agree with you guys about the show "Drive" is a car enthusiast type of show not wacked out show off like fith gear and top gear. Think more of "Car and Driver" and not "Honda Tuning" were everything has NOS and track only bulids.

The show is just getting started isent funded by the BBC or SPEED but given time I forsee a great out come for Drive.

Keep up the great work J.F. and Leo.

  • Coverage of road rallies would be great, such as Targa Tasmania and the like. This could be the making of a great channel!

  • Nobody has ever done a Tire Race where different tire brands, models and sizes compete on the same cars to find the best of the best. Think if Top Gear had sent the Ariel Atom out on the track 100 times each with different tires from slicks to worn spares to see the difference. I'm sure tire-rack would sponsor it.

  • Road Rage Etiquette: Around the World Surviving the Tarmac (or lack there of).

  • You talk about having the budget to visit races. If you have the money, visit the Bathurst 1000. It will blow your mind.

  • you guys should try to go to some SCCA events, especially some national events

  • "twat" to have already tweeted (I twat that joke 3 hours ago) XD nice one leo! Oh maybe you guys could enter pikes peak, or hit up the salt flats during one of the major events they have.

  • maybe show us some interesting military vehicles/special application vehicles.. The sound is also much better in this video, well done..

  • Actual track days!

  • There should at least be one feature focusing on mods and cars at a low price point. So many of the websites and shows focusing on cars tend to focus on exotics and cars with an MSRP exponentially above a normal person's yearly salary and I lose interest quickly, as I am not interested in cars that exist only in Jay Leno's garage.

  • I love what you guys are doing. So far, the great variety of hosts, shows, and content fit the great variety of tastes and interests I have with cars. Keep it up!

  • id love to see some motorcycles thrown in there somewhere in the show

  • lol twat

  • All the cars that you guys drive.. benchmark them with your very own race track facility... kinda like how stig does it on top gear..

  • for example go on a road trip in an A6, 5 series, E class and GS to see which comes out on top. make the road trip itself entertaining to watch in addition to the cars.

  • comparison tests between relevant and accessible cars done in an entertaining fashion.

  • top gear style challenges between the presenters of each show. possibly each host has a lemons team?

  • wtf... is that John Elway in the background throwing the football?

  • Please talk about road car safety again. Visit company "research and development labs" and see what the "high end" companies (BMW, Volvo) have in their cars and why they think it is important. Then I would like to here from you guys on whether or not these technologies are useful for enthusiasts like us. (I don't need or want blind spot indicators but are LED brake lights and HID headlights more effective?) And please go into detail. The IIHS website already has plenty of overview information.

  • Do you have the budget to drive a F1 car upside down?

Everyone says its possible yet no one has done it. I commented this idea on mythbusters video but go no response.

    Great job guys.

  • I LOVE THIS CHANNEL!

    Bless all of you.

  • You guys didn't mention how much Youtube is payment for he programming... can you share?

  • Does anybody else JF and Leo were constantly out of focus and the cars behind them were more sharp? It really made it hard to watch and I felt nauseous at times.

Were you really on a step Leo? :) (I am a short guy so I empathize)

  • CRAZY IDEA? Road Trip - From Portugal to Moscow in a Hot Hatchback :)

  • good vid guys!! the problem i have is i dont get all your vids in my sub feed thingy

  • Tokyo auto salon coverage first hand please.

  • Id like to see what else is out there so please mix up the content. Because there is nobody else out there with any level of production value covering this type of stuff at the moment.

  • Not so much because of ethical or environmental reason but more so an interest in performance. Since it is such early days for the this type of technology it helps not to criticize were it does not succeed but rather focus on what has been achieved and what mile stones are currently being strive for and reached. If ev technology is currently at a stage were car technology was at the turn of the century then I am very excited for the future.

  • YOU GUYS ARE SOOOOOOO DOING THIS RIGHT!!!!!

  • You guys asked for different racing ideas one word ELECTRIC. Or alternatively powered vehicle racing.Currently Im only familiar with the TTGXP which is an ev motorcycle racing series and also the NEDRA National Electric Drag Racing Assosiation. Id love to see some coverage of this type of material.

  • Any chance you guys will still be there come Saturday when it opens to the public? I would love to meet some of you guys! An idea I had would be to do some interviews with employees of the manufactures such as graphic design, assembly line, PR, ect... I find alot of the behind the scenes and development stuff interesting, just a thought. Keep up the great work, loving DRIVE so far!

  • Please consider muting the music. It's too hectic; it's nicer to just hear them talking.

  • i want car reviews!! put competing cars against eachother and tell me who wins, thats what i want.

  • Hi Guys im really loving the new layout of shows, it is looking like there will be something for everyone without trying to combine it all into one thing. I would love to see you guys at the Bathurst 1000 in Australia. some people say its old technology and bogan (red neck) racing but heck its still an amazing race.

  • *show

  • I'd love to see a sort of educational video/series of videos where Chris or Leo or both she the effects of different settings on suspension, like a practical demo of how to tune a car?

  • guys, the freakin focus is on the cars behind you, be carreful:)

  • I think the talking is fine. Any chance of long-term reviews of cars?

  • Hearing Leo say "twat" was the highlight of my day.

  • how about a show where leo goes on a track and shows us what hes got instead of just talking about it?

  • Factory Tours around the world!!! Visit celebrity garages too and interview them about their car life

  • send matt farah up to mullholland around 2am... just to see what happens

  • "Cause it ain't twat" Yeah Leo, get em. Great show. I am really loving the drive network. I will have a good suggestion for you guys but I want to think this one out first.

  • I have an idea here:

How about you guys do a segment once a week on viewers cars. Call it maybe My Ride or simply Viewers Ride... I don't know. But anyways we can write in and you guys and chose which ride you want to showcase. 30 second blerb or w/e but once you guys chose, you can email the person and ask some questions i guess and get some pictures of their ride and showcase it. Maybe you can start a thread on the Fast Lane Daily forum to make it easier.

    The new channel is great!

  • @FakDomestics Great Idea, actually might be feasible as a once a month or twice a month show.

  • @cdc9906

That is good to hear! I look forward to the outcomes!

  • as far as the Tuned segment have a few episodes talking about tuning, if you car understeers what do i change;what is the correct ride height ect. Or for an overall idea once autocross or drag racing starts back up, have in the budget to build a car and compete for a season. Not just get a 1M or something and call it a day but something sub 15,000 car that most inexperienced people without a lot of money can do. just some ideas to throw at the wall and see if it sticks.

  • Looking forward to the road trips with Roy. So much fun. "The Spy Who Drove Me", or "Tomorrow Never Drives", or "On Her Majesty's Secret Drive", "For Your Drives Only" - looking forward to those episodes. Or just "Road Finger: Thunder Balls"

  • talking is great! lol Alex is KING!

  • How about doing the Gumball or Bullrun, while reviewing a car?

  • How about more on car design!! The studios, the stories, the development of the cars! How about a special on the L.A Autoshow's car design contest. No other program, not even Top gear, talks about the design of the cars.

  • This is not new, but I think it would be great if you did something similar to the "challenges" in Top Gear

  • It would be fun to see some kind of road trip - comparison test combo

  • I like the idea of reviews, it's a pretty common feature across many automotive news websites/publications. However, I think in addition to reviewing high end/exotic/super cars which really get us drooling, the normal cars that most of us can afford would be great to see reviewed. Not only that, but the different engines/transmissions/drivetrain combinations offered against each other and the closest competitors from other manufacturers.

Really enjoyed the bit on the Nurburgring 24 hour race

  • i dont think there has been too much talking

  • Alex Roy in a pre-war car road trip from NYC to north shore of Alaska. I'll co-pilot :)

  • How about you guys share your car history with us... I for one would love to know what the people I get a lot of my automotive news from drive!

  • I would like your show to show what it is like to live with an exotic car for a couple of days. 0-60, and lap times in cars are all over the place. Not many people talk about what it is like to own/live with a 100000 dollar auto. Thank you for the video. Thumbs up.

  • I would like to see video of touge driving, show us how to attack the corners of our US mountain paths. Maybe even where we could go out, and have a fun drive.

  • @LeoParente no harm done. Whenever i see the guy on t.v. Hes in no condition to remember his own name anyway... Hell, i would probably buy him a few beers just to hear his stories. The guy is living the dream.

  • is @LeoParente president yet?

  • heres my pitch for a show on this channel... A host travels around to meet car fanatics who walk through modifications or customizations they have created. I think of it as a mix of mtv cribs and overhauled.

  • Its Anthony Bordain, not Alex.

  • @cmanclan101 Yes, I blew that, rushing to get to Our Alex's name. And last week Anthony passed my wife + I on the NYC sidewalk. How did I forget the name of such a tall guy [he makes an impression, even in a crowd!] and a 'personality' show I really love. Sorry on the name miss.

  • An idea for the show: What about looking at how feasible some of these supercars are as everyday drivers. How useful IS a Ferrari 458 Italia as a commuter to and from the office? Is it utterly ridiculous to take a mid engine supercar on a driving holiday with all the requisite luggage? Some of these GT cars don't actually look like they'd be such Grand Tourers, so just how good are they?

  • DRIVE could do a segment based on cars from the dawn of the automobile to the late 1930s. Featuring Dusenbergs and Delahayes and the early innovations they had so early on. An episode devoted to an Auto Union Type C or D would be biblical. Historic racing could be interesting to see, with profiles on cars like a 956 or 512s with interviews from drivers like Brian Redman. There are several historic races all around the U.S. and the rest of the world coverage of these events would be great.

  • What I'd like to see is a few episodes on track days. I'm hoping to get into this soon and I want to know what cheap mods and upgrades I can do to a standard car to have fun, go fast and learn some skills on the track.

  • @thericher all you need is a good set of tires and upgrade your suspension, do not mix stock suspension with racing tires because you will roll the car.

    have fun!

  • Shakedowns' episodes were they talked about driving technique and ways to improve were awesome, things like that would really help out some of us who are just getting into the driver side of motorsports and would like some pro-type advice on handling a car as well as understanding car set up. Also as much fun as super cars are to see reviews on, a review on a affordable sports car would be nice, like a genesis coupe vs a BRZ with real explanations on why its better not just a bunch of quips

  • Just keep alex roy out of the show! What a jackass - always

  • get a new soundguy... your RMS is so low you'd think its a bedroom production.

  • I'd love to see you guys source and review Interesting NON-Production cars, one-offs, small car companies that are building cars, and do more on Bikes. i know you guys are having issues showing MotoGP, but what about AMA?

  • how about all of you guys race stretch limousines of your choice around Skip Barber's tiny track at Limerock Park in Connecticut. Charge $50 for attendance. I'll be there...

oh and did I forget to metion: please be smart and get a facebook page!!!

  • how about all of you guys race stretch limousines of your choice around Skip Barber's tiny track at Limerock Park in Connecticut. Charge $50 for attendance. I'll be there

  • i want to see you guys build project cars from time to time for grass roots style motor sports for those of us that like to drive hard but we are on budget XD. auto-cross, drag racing, drifting just for starters...it would be nice to see you guys review older sports cars yes there's been plenty review for old muscle cars but nothing really for the import sections like older European cars and Japanese cars from the 60's to the 90's.

  • You guys talk way too much. How dare you overuse the basic instrument in all civilizations.

  • I say Drift School!!!

  • Are we going to see any more of the Shakedown School of Racing?

  • idea: Chris Harris teaching Jf how to drift a formula drift mustang while Jf is also trying to learn how to copy a british accent.... maybe not possible unless you got the budget for that.

  • A top gear-style cheap car challenge! We jokingly comment over and over again about how awesome it would be to see you guys on the big screen as American Top Gear... why not bring some of that fantasy to life?

  • isle of man TT? under 2 wheels bad? lol

  • So instead of sitting in front of pictures of cars and talking, they're standing in front of real cars and talking?

  • Alex Roy to Australia please!

  • what are cars?

  • Talk the talk, but also walk the walk. If would be great to see some discussion on performance and practical driving applications - something that separates the myth from fact, such as huge brakes or tons of HP. What makes a balanced car, for the street and for the track-day enthusiast? Leo has really good insight and also some great racing tips, but it would be great to see practical applications.

  • Do the Rubicon for the off-roaders. Take highway 49 out of Placerville to Georgtown for a roadtrip review!

  • talking talking talking

  • Suggestion- Teach Leo to drift!

  • Here's a suggestion... Rent some random car and find the nearest auto-x event and DRIVE. Sadly all rentals are automatics, therefore do like TopGear and buy some random car for cheap and auto-x it.

  • J.F. needs a hair cut, and a new jacket.

  • you need to go to bathurst, seriously

    \

  • driving schools, best used cars, and more grassroots.

Will Drive get an iTunes podcast like FLD?

  • Call me stupid if im wrong, but the new acura nsx looks like a futury r8, i guess e-tron at best

  • Comment removed

  • @jcibelik or you guys can always recruit that female stunt driver who was on Jalopnik couple weeks ago doing donuts in a Gallardo -- catch my drift?

  • Comment removed

  • Visit random drag races in different states! Because I know you won't be able to record on the illegal street races.

  • Test drive / do reviews of older cars, like upcoming collectors, great used cars to buy, etc ... I want to see old AMGs, M cars, American Muscle being reviewed !!! LIKE if you feel the same !

  • Cross country in cheapish cars to big tracks around america and DRIVE on them!

  • Car reviews with a diffrent twist than all the other reviewers

  • test drives of specific cars (like the smoking tire) not every day but maybe once or twice a week.......

  • Do challenges that you would see on top gear

  • Have people send in videos their cars and then do a cars of the month episode.

  • Do car reviews(a bit like topgear)

  • Have cheap car challenges rent super cars and have challenges

  • Buy a car for less than a grand and see how long you can live with it.

  • I'd love to see behind the scene style videos of F1.

  • finally drive the gumpert apollo!!

  • How about a segment of "this day in auto/racing history". Maybe you guys could do a series at a driving school (like Skip Barber) where you start with bench mark point values before then compare to scores on same test to see who learned more and if application of school lessons take away from the fun of driving. I'd also like to see head to head comparison test dealing with old verses new of same models aimed at the which is more exciting to drive. Keep up the good work.

  • Way to be at the auto show and not show anything

  • @igotnolyfe What part of "Drive Central is [..] about what's coming up in the next few days" do you not understand? I understand everything of it yet I'm listening to a foreign language, jeeez...

  • @podiceps its not that i don't understand what drive central it its that i wanted to see what was there since this was the first day of it

  • touge

  • Feezable challenges... (no I can't spell that) here's an idea. I've thought for a while "Leo, J.F., DerekD, Top Gear U.S?" So why not do Top Gear style $1000 challenges, or something like that, and then take them, paint them, race them (a little) and see who (out of 3 or 4 "opponents") can come out on top!

  • Do like top gear challenges. Like 3 of you guys buy a 500 dollar car, what sourte of stuff.

  • keep talking

give us all the info that you could collect..

    good channel... Guys

  • My idea is each week you have a racing challenge whether it's rallying or drag racing you race against each other. I already watch all of the different videos u guys put out but this would defiantly add to the appeal of the channel

  • knowledge is power

  • i would like to know more about the nerdy stuff of certain cars when you guys test drive/review them. things like fords plasma wire arc coated cylinders in their GT500.

  • i love this channel more and more

  • drive is not in itunes ????????

what should i type in to find it

  • I totally agree! Hyundai was daring with the lines. That's good. Hyundai was careless with the lines. That's bad. Result: a car that looks like melted wax.

  • I.LOVE.THIS. m (@_@) m

And i love endless petrolheads "boring" chitchattering about everything on wheels.

  • My suggestion is sort of a tutorial video, something to introduce the regular Joe (who is also a car enthusiast with a limited budget) to racing, be it track, off road, rally, lemons, whatever. How do I get a car prepped, do I use my daily? Do I buy a new one? Is there a lot of paperwork involved? Safety, how to meet various safety standards for different kinds of racing? Also, a nice idea would be to get to know showcars, be it muscle cars, customs, the whole 'stance' scene, vintage, bombs, etc.

  • I wanna see interesting car reviews like top gear

  • you guys should do Bullrun 2012

  • Yes! We want Lemons!

  • NSX had some leaked Tony Stark photos

  • @drive how do you guys make revenue to keep this show running. How much does it cost per month to staff and run. Just curious.

  • I want a film of Leo going through rally school. I think he'd provide a great comparison between what makes a great road racer and the adjustments that need to be made for a rally racer.

  • Did he just say TWAT? Awesome! Definitely sold. With all the concepts of shows they have lined up in this channel it's starting to look like an amazing win for /DRIVE. Love the commentators and the awesome faux pas. Definitely gonna be watching wwhat occurs here.....

LEO keep it up your awesome!!!

  • What if you guys put both shows together in one youtube video with a marker in the middle so you could just click to it if you want... we win because people who want to watch both the videos dont have to click around... you win because you guys get more views per video and the views are not split between channels. I know theres playlists but i think this is worth a shot... love what you guys are doing though and keep it up

  • Interesting you chose to shoot this in front of the Dodge Dart display.

  • Classic cars... :D

  • i hate ads as much as the next guy but the drive network needs to get some ads on the videos soon if they want to stick around. money makes the world go around

  • Whats more fun about road trips is speeding and tickets.

  • no nascar please!!! i dont think you'll feature it but please dont im tired of the endless left turn in america! ALMS, Le Mans, 24 hours of daytona, something that requires right turns every race please

  • Bob shuman better be in it.

  • @noahsb9 HEYABOUTTIT!

  • I would like to see Drive (the best car show) to show up the Brits that host Top Gear.

  • since when has this show went from YouTube awesome to "this needs to be on prime time cable"awesome?!?!? :D

  • hey JF

    heres an idea:

    legendary cars/drivers

i would really like to see some behind the scene stuff about legendary cars ie. senna's MP4/4

like why it was so good

or groundbreaking cars, like the tyrrell 019

the first F1 car with the raised nose...that we see as standard in F1 today

or a piece about Fangio, Moss, Nuvolari etc etc

    stuff like that

  • Go do some Die hard car loving icons on Drive For example FD3S or FC3 Drifting or other extreme stuff. Supra's AE86. and maybe pit them with some new meat Old skool Icon tuner VS New Sport car :) Maybe do some real reviews like really test milage or how a car corners or can do a lab. And compare other cars in the future with eachoter. Compare the Normal model VS Sport model VS Race model of a car

  • Cars vs motorbikes, cars vs planes (favouring cars ofcourse ;) ), offroad driving, ice driving, Supercars etc.

  • I'm not sure that I understood it right but, are you guys seriously thinking that having Alfa Romeo heritage is a bad thing for a car????

  • @orcio NO. All good.

  • All the host should go a track and do some fast laps and compare between them who is faster :)

Maybe do a week long road trip with everyone and several cars documenting the whole crew getting out and enjoying the DRIVE (maybe that's what the one segment is and I can't wait to see it)

  • I want to see Drive do what was done on FLD which is kart racing segment. host something with Leo and JF teaching amateurs to experience drivers on taking better lines ( shake down university segment?). Doing time attack from the knowledge they absorb and make a challenge to see who's the fastest.

  • What about the pics on the new NSX roadster from the ironman sets?

  • a cross country race between ALL THE PRESENTERS using any sort of cars...

LIKE this message so DRIVE can see it :P

  • More racing and how to get into them, on and offroad; powersports and automotive racing. A small series starting from scratch would be nice. Also, where is the motorcycle show?

  • not really complaining about 2 shows per day...but not sure I'll be able to keep up (which is kinda sad, cus i don't want to miss episodes)

  • What I would love to see is Leo getting more with racers, and hear their techniques, their history, and how they got there. (This could be done with SimRaceWay)

Also I think it would be fun to include some celebrities, tied to cars or not, and do some reviews with them, or some kind of car-related games, hear what they think about cars... etc

Last but not least, give us fans some more physical interaction. Give away some t-shirts, some driving courses, get us on shows, etc. It would be fun!

  • I would love to see you get into finding car bargains and driving them. Like used sports cars for 10 grand or a used supercar for half the price of a new one.

and i'd love to see matt on /tuned do tuned everyday sports cars like a mazda rx-8 that's been very much improved or the like. looking forward to seeing more!

  • Actually, I want to see some reviews Top Gear esque but a hybrid of, with 5th Gear.. give us what the CAR GUYS want to see, with a realistic review of the cars

  • JF get yourself a god damn tie, you're making Leo look bad standing next to you.

  • buy a car like a 350z or a civic or something and start a tuning show with basic suspension and engine tweaks at first then build on that and take that car to events like autocross or scca time attack things like that.

  • I have karts that would be ready for any of the Drive crew to play around with. Also, i think a pretty cool segement would be to cover a SCCA Autocross. Anyone with $50 and a car could do it.
