it occurs to me. thats the rife seems to usless for the most part, use it on expert and take to long, and you get raped by the aid, use it in verses and take as much time as this and you DESERVE to get killled, good vid tho :D

Which is perfectly true, for clearing the way its useful, but when your being attacked by a horde unless you manage to line up as they run towards you, your going to to take more damage then is needed, i much prefer to use the m15 in that case :D

It's great if you know how to use it. You can rack up incredible numbers of kills with it. The technique is different though, you don't go for headshots and you keep your rate of fire really low. You need to kill about 1.5 zombies or so every shot on average during a horde. The long reload time hurts, but it can decimate a horde even better than the shotgun, especially if they're coming mostly from one direction. It's not a good defensive weapon though, teammates need to watch your back.

the thing with the sniper rifle is that it has horrible moving accuracy. as long as you're standing still, it's awesome, but if you have to run-and-gun, you'd might as well just throw your bullets at the zombies.

That's why you use pistols when you're moving. Close range, pistols will do almost as much damage as an assault rifle, and of course a headshot will kill a zombie. Pull out the rifle when you stop moving.

A Good sniper does not miss! You simply do NOT have time to reload and reshoot...it takes way to much time, every shot must count.

With smoker you have 1 shot to hit him in the head, then your aim is messed when he pulls you and you have no chance of escape...

Complete all campaigns on expert ALONE(kill the bots) with sniper rifle... You´l understand what I mean by every shot counts :D

actually it's pretty hard to hit with L4D's sniper, it's kinda messed up. Many times I shoot infected to body or leg and it just pierced throug, and infected dosen't care. :/

Sniper rifle certainly is the hardest weapon to use, but its not that hard....

means you hit him right near the outer skin...aka the bullets scratched his body...

Aim better...(or you telling me you hit him right in the center of the chest and he dint care? and we are talking about normal infected right?)

Normal, and sometimes, it dose'nt register hits, when bullets would hit. And sniper rifle is my favorite weapon, but it's sometimes broken :/

I find sniper rifle the best when lots of hordes come your way, especially when they are cramped together. Why?

1) Sniper rifle bullets pierce lots of zombies.

2) Sniper rifle is fast

3) I have taken out a horde with one clip, possible to do in bottlenecks.

Been playing L4D with my buds for a while now and i can give you a tip : don't stay back with the "sniper" better to be close to atleast 1 of Teammates on expert cause one blink on them with that flashlight and they're on your neck in a split second .. also you would have cover if they manage to ambush you.

dude hes not showing hhis skills he showing what the sniper does and how awesome it is so giving him tips is uneccassary if you wanna give tips look for sniping montages alot like my video ive ben playing L4D since the demo was avalible so watch my vid and give me some tips since uve ben playing "for a while"

oh and btw your tips are incorrect a sniper can go as far as he/she likes bcuz if you have good aim a good eye and good reaction timing the only thing that can stop you is a well hidden smoker hunter boomer or tank but if your good only the tank will be a problem and the flashlight should never be used by the sniping "while sniping" gives away positions messes up snipe locations and zombies arent that fast when u flash the light anyway but "while sniping" you shouldnt be using it anyway :P

I wouldn't exactly say sniper is useful in all games. In Single campaign, it's pretty useful. But online? Not really especially on versus.

I love the Sniper Rifle. It's so satisfying to save a buddy from a distant smoker or a sudden hunter with a single shot to the head. Especially the Smokers and Boomers, because they leave a nice cloud you can see from a good distance.
