Atlanta lost ALOT of tax revenue here a few years ago when Sandy Springs incorporated (rumor has it, Buckhead is next, but anyway), ATL really has no choice but to try and get taxpayers back into the downtown area. The city won't be able to sustain itself unless folks who actually pay taxes live there. Is it fair to those who need help? Absolutely not, but it is what it is...so sad...
the housing projects in downtown Atlanta and other areas in atlanta sits on some of the best real estate in the city. that is why they do this. they move out the poor so they can get richer by making luxury apartments for the wealthy. it is sad where do all these people go? do they came? of course not.
