The LH female Uniform just looks horrible. The caps are simular to those of the female KGB uniforms used by the Secret Service in the former Soviet Union.

@SpinalTapUK nope they don´t. actually higheels aren´t even allowed on board:) they´ve got shoes for the entire flight and another pair for the time on the ground.

Lufthansa is a great airliner. BUT: they should invest a bit more in training their crew to be more friendly. Lately I've been flying with Qatar, Thai, Gulf Air, Turkish and Emirates (and a few more) and there is day and night difference. Maybe because the Lufthansa crew is older (in age) they forgot the words SMILE. (said by a Frequent Flyer member of Lufthansa)

Well actually FAs are really useful, if Pilots carry the lives of everyone on board, FAs carry the lives of the passengers on board, they actually check and see if everyone is following the simplest protocols in flight that I bet "atfatw" is always violating (by his comments its obvious), I think the pilot will be the one who will be doing the welcoming, the safety demonstrations, the cabin check, the passenger count the in-flight service attending announcement at the same time doing the flying.

what a stupid comment, flight attendants are there for your safety and not for your eye candy. They are professional and will surely be the last leaving the airplane in case of emergency. this is not an easy job, but i'm sure it's way to high for you to understand it.

Junkers was a major German aircraft manufacturer particularly during the 2nd world war but had a much longer history before that. Two of their most well known 'planes was the Ju52 a triple engined transport craft beloved of old war films and the Ju87, the Stuka dive bomber used with great effect during the Spanish civil war and the early part of WWII. I assume it's used here as a memory to the past.

@MoebiusGer not that I was there, I wasn't born until 1954 and I'm not British but my reply was a short comment of the Junkers company and not about any attacks. Please read my comment properly before making such an inappropriate reply. The Ju87 was tried and tested in Spain and the lessons learnt there was used effectively early in WWII and was not an indictment of it's use in Spain. Without going into the reasons for the mass bombings by both sides, what happened at Dresden was appalling.

By this commercial, with its sounds its like it is showing Lufthansa is in the lowest point of their line. Anyways the background music makes me remember my first flight with Lufthansa, where I finally saw Europe^^ And also their hats in this commercial reminds me so much of Emirates, only it is red with those hanging thingys^^ Anyways a very nice commercial, but I don't like the setting, i hope they should have been showing their fleets as well

I took LH. its ok but nothing special. I prefer the asian ones like Cathay, Singapore or asiana. i know everybody is sayin that, but its true, the service qualitiy on asian carriers is just somewhat different (better). U get more for the same amount of money...

@stephenterill The problem with SIA's uniforms is that they are so close fitting that if the FAs put on the smallest amount of weight, it'd show forcing them to keep a very slim figure.

It looks like something left in the oven for too long, and then rather than throw it away, as part of the cost reduction scheme run by the board in an attempt to fight raising oil prices, they decided to buy them at discount and make the poor stewardesses wear them.
