if you look at the trailer and then watch the actual season, it'll end everyones questioning over whats real and whats fake.

Spencer was getting kicked off coz he went psycho, so he and Heidi had the storyline they would "get divorced" (and then in real life they faked seperated which failed haha) then they changed that whole story by kicking them both off.

it's all about the editing. i doubt the cast had much choice over what they filmed and what actual got shown.

i love how the season played out so differently than this trailer.

coz spiedi got kicked off for being fiz-ucking crazzy its so obvious how the producers changes the show to suit what they want.

i think the hills was definitely real, just screwed around with TV wise. an "unscripted drama. an edited reality"

If you notice that when Lauren leaves Laguna Beach on season 2 she's wearing the same thing when they make the first episode of The Hills.

It's like the director and producers and stuff new this was going to be there new show or something.

But they still had season 3 of Laguna Beach to go and Season 1 & 2 of New Port Harbor.

@natsoph1997 it was real to a point. main issues and drama were real, but they had to reshoot it for the show. if the hills was totally scripted, heidi and spencer would not have gotten married, and heidi would not have had that total drama with her family. Some of it WAS scripted to add drama but most of the storyline and issues were based on their real lives.

Heidi's from a small town unlike LC and she never knew what it was like to live in LA. Her huge egos ruined her friendship and even her relationship with her family. She even ruined her self with all that plastic surgery. Heidi approached LC to get famous. I always doubted their 'friendship' from the very start. I think LC trusted her but Heidi became her friend for a reason - to get on the show and be 'known'. When people say that Spencer changed Heidi, I just laugh because if she was really a good person and a great friend, then she would have never let something like 'Spencer' get in the way. LC was fooled from the very beginning and opened up to her and Heidi used her and just ditched her, as planned.
