  • Good review.

  • The biggest problem with India is that the urbanizing of India just means the slums are growing massively. Those illiterate farmers moving into the cities have NO skills to work in call centers and that's where China is succeeding. By going the route of the unskilled factory job, China can put their illiterate migrant farmers to work in the factories whereas India has no such jobs to give to their illiterate migrant farmers.

  • why people are defending India's current position????...We did not do the right things so we are here...Chinese did the right things for their country..so they are far ahead...

  • According to the last expert, China actually has a smaller income disparity compared to India, despite the fact that India is a democracy. What an irony...

  • India has the potential to become a larger economy than china in 10 years! no joke but the only thing that slows down this from happening is the corrupt politicans. If corruption was deleted in india up to a developed country level than in 10 years india would be the largest economy in the earth. How i wish this would happen!

  • @TheTube9021 government corruption is a big problem in almost every developing country, don't assume that you can sort it out shortly

  • I went to china and

India last year, well I gotta say china is way better India!!!

  • citizen. China exceeds India at every level: education, military, sports, R&D etc. 50 years and you guys are still making excuses. Go ahead and proof to me with facts how India is better shithead. Go ahead.

  • @Mr145616 India is a democracy and china is NOT!! If China wants it can clear away a slum overnight but India, having the biggest slum in asia, cannot! And who are you to proudly say these thinds? India could have been a developed nation by now had not the british idiots come here! It is said CIA intended at impeding India's nuclear program which could have had Indian democracy 15 years ahead currently! China and India are different!! Prove to me how US in place of India cud have dn bttr?go ahd

  • @Parishrut2 I never mentioned the US, as far as the CIA involvement. Show me the documents that PROVE your statements. Go ahead. You indians love to blame the british but consider these questions: .youtube.com/watch?v=T7JT-JKoylI. Please visit this site: .youtube.com/user/OneTwoThreePeace#p/a/f/0/Jw_38AoBa-M. .youtube.com/watch?v=zvqQ8wEpUR8. Then talk to me about India. Go ahead guy, visit these sites.

  • India might be behind china in some flieds but chinese don't have freedom even u can'nt use fb that shows how coward chinese govt. Is

  • This video is bullshit, India is a very poor and backward country. China is way ahead of India-- I bet you a million dollars. Some idiotic Indian is going to come up with a thousand excuses why it is or isn't. IN the end, China surges ahead because they have no religion or minimize it, 2 major languages and because they are communist. Everyone knows China is better than India, except indians refuse to accept reality. They will however blame the British-- hehe poor British.

  • The reason China has surged ahead, if one is to analyze intelligently, is due to their sound planning, expedite reforms, and less corruption, combined with a state that is run like a multinational corporation with intense efficacy and delivery. India has lagged behind, primarily, because of mis planning at state level, gradual reforms, and rampant corruption. India's diversity has been a disadvantage because it has enabled politicians to run appeasement campaigns rather than to govern.

  • However China is only surged ahead in terms of infrastructure. If we were to look at political and social reforms. They have in fact lagged behind India. Freedoms in China are scarce and restricted. The same is not true for India.

  • @aksstar Look dummy, you assume political and social freedom means prosperity. Men must be governed often with a iron fist-- what has those freedoms given India. Corruption at every level, poor education--65% literate, elite class of the rich etc. Self greed is killing India, do whatever it takes to get to the top. That line from americans about a free country is such bullshit. Where is america now?

  • @Mr145616 You're an idiot. Go back to school and learn Economics. Social and political freedom does mean prosperity. Look at the entire middle east and tell me how prosperous has that region been for the past 50 years? being governed by 'iron fist'. The fact remains that social and political mobility brings about improvements at all levels. Political system has nothing to do with corruption and everything to do with people in government and corruption is a bigger problem in countries that CTN

  • @aksstar: Singapore was developed under a strict authoritarian system that is still in place. The Korean miracle occurred during military martial rule. Mexico is considered "free" but it's full of corruption and poverty. Sri Lanka has uninterrupted democracy but has suffered from civill war due to ethnic strife. 70% of blacks of South Africa live near poverty. Saudi theocracy. Phillipines is "free" but people are appalled at the poverty in Manila. I could go on......

  • @Mr145616 CONT. don't have political and social freedoms. The reason China has done well is because their weren't as thick and implemented reforms on the economic side. Don't even talk to me about income disparity. Have a look at the gini index for China, way above India. China is a much more unequal society as far as income and standards of living is concerned. America still is the reserve currency from the world and their model is been emulated around the world. One only has to look CNT

  • @aksstar: comparing China to Western Europe and America puts China in a pretty negative light but comparing India to China makes China look like Sweden or Canada. Think over your comparisons.

  • @Mr145616 to South Korea and Japan (after the bombings) to understand. I would also like to add that I actually hold a Masters in Economics from a prestigious school. Yeah I am bragging because I can sense crook of shit when I read it and you're full of it.

  • @aksstar Masters in Economics-- but no fucking brain at all. May I mention, the milton view of economics and the outcome it has brought onto the US economy over time. I love all you snobs, with your egos bigger than your brains-- you would have fit in well with the crowd in Bear Stearns. The middle east-- most of your countrymen beg to get a job in Saudi Arabia. YOU call that a sign of prosperity. Take a look at any economic index- average Chinese citizen is 2x as rich as an average indian Cont

  • @aksstar: big effing deal I have a degree in economics AND I also have a degree in history and political science and your problem is you look straight thru an INDOCTRINATED western economists eyes and the myth that "social and political freedom" precedes economic development when in reality, in MANY cases, "social and political freedom" RESULTS from economic development. South Korea and Germany and Argentina are glaring examples.

  • Maybe we Indians should stick to single-party rule, if it is doing good for China, then it should be good for us Indians too.

Democracy is only delaying and slowing our advancement.

  • Genghis Khan built his empire 3 times larger than Romans did and in half the time. but his empire didn't last that long . Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely.

  • @TheHardik112 No...it was because of their tradition of splitting land equally among the sons. Dumb mongols

  • very true I advise my chinese bros that be very careful of EVIL US. they are waiting for the right opportunity to strike at you to see your country's downfall, just like they did to the SOVIET UNION.

  • india havent worry about the west but china does have to worry

  • @robertocalor i dont know

  • @robertocalor because india hasn't gotten to that point yet

  • I don't mean to let down my country, but right now China is the only superpower in Asia, India is coming up but a few call centers, bollywood movies, steel exports won't propell the ecomony like that.

We need to focus on Infrastructure which and export and attract FDI investment and get access to better technologies.

This is the way Japan became soo advanced, and China is following the same path. We Indians should do the same.

  • Slow and steady guys........slow and steady :)

  • I believe it's the strong old tradition and culture that makes a country slog in development. It's not only a glory but also a burden for people to move on. Both india and china are great civilizations on earth that have prospered and lasted for thousands of years. The chinese underwent a violent and terrible crash of their old tradition in the last century before they moved onto the highspeed track, while india hasn't yet experienced one. That's the difference.

  • @wintercocooo u r right

  • im chinese , india have Democracy ,Low efficiency democracy > no democracy ,so i wish china have democracy , my eglish is poor , sorry ^_^

  • We are decades behind in INFRASTRUCTURE, road systems etc,

if we don't change that, then even our economy will slow down.

  • @Sasukekillsitachi

Dude, our expressways are equally good, plus we have more of them.

  • What a hoax India taking aid when did that happen .

  • 177 countries includeded in the Failed State Index 2010.

    1. Somalia i.e. in the lowest position.

    10. Pakistan

    62. China

    79. India

    161. UK :)

  • @kumarsa108 there are many miracles in eastern asia.japan rise in a flash.korea is going to be a developed country in near future although its starting position was pretty low.now its china's turn to make another miracle in eastern Asia.india is also on the track, but i think india could do much better than that

  • @240kankan I think India could do better too.

  • China initiated reforms to open up its economy decades before India, one of the reasons why it is ahead. Not least though is China's one party rule. What it says happens, no NGOs fighting for peoples rights. China gets things done, India gets mired down in its huge bureaucracy.

  • India is a failed state and sham democracy! Indians can brag all they want about their democratic values however what good is freedom without food, democracy without development, or freedom of the press(LOL) when 1/2 of all Indians are illiterate??? India is the biggest lemon being oversold to the world. Their pathetic incompetent leaders couldn't organize a fuck in a whore house!

  • @666AmericanFreedom Nicely said. Bravo.

  • china has similar language sounds, while india has too many languages with different sounds, china has similar look, indians has many different look, chinese are united , indians like to fight each other, indians are arrogant and rude!

  • @boyjuly76 What are you talking about? Indian lanuages either descend from Sanskirt to ancient tamil or Tibetian-Burmese languages. All in India descend from them.

  • @JacobTheIndoAmerican I dont understand what u trying to say, descendent from sanskrit to ancient tamil?

  • @boyjuly76 Northern Indians languages, its ancestor or root language is Sanskrit. Southern Indian languages, its root language is ancient Tamil. And Mongoloid of India, their languages comes from outside India, the Sino-Tibetan language tree. They mingles together. Sanskrit influenced both language groups. An Indian can tell from hearing if the languages is Sanskrit origin like Hindi/Urdu,Punjabi,etc. Or Ancient Tamil origin like Tamil,Malayalam, etc

  • @JacobTheIndoAmerican bro, email me at boyjuly76@ahoo.com, thats my email

  • I think the guy at PWC is right about the Polarised wealth distribution in India. There are extremely rich and extremely poor people, literally living side by side!

  • Why are paki's commenting on growing economies? Pakistan beggs USA for money and military hardware. India has till december 2014 to make changes happen in trade and infastructure.

  • ahhh ummm ahh umm good god just get the fuckgin words out.... ahhhh ummmmm fucking annoying SOB

  • India is a failed state with a sham democracy and a bad poster child for democratic form of government. It's pervasive hunger, poverty, malnutrition, illiteracy, a huge and growing rich-poor gap, and a well-established system of caste-based Apartheid, and its terrible governance make its democracy a joke. And its history of widespread persecution of its minorities makes its secular label ludicrous.

  • India cannot compare to china as china plays in its own league! India will grow more developed and prosperous as the future unfolds however if they keep up their competitive mindset to rival china they will always feel inferior because the chinese don't talk, they focus on the walk.

  • wealth distupution inequalities is the main problem facing India today.

  • hmm... in bangalore airport road region we get drinking water once a week, dont know about chinese silicon valley.

  • Comparing China and India is like Comparing the US to Mexico......ridiculous

  • @ForFun06521 there is no difference.. like comparing your mother and a dollar whore who sucks HIV cock for fun and lets you fuck her in the ass...

  • wish Indian no longer agaist China in future. cooperation is the only one we need coz we are Asian. do not be stupid, help each other and become Asian-leading world

  • Paki sucks. What have they achieved in 60 years other than breeding Talibans and brainwashed people like TeraPeoPunjabi ?

  • Of course China is ahead. It's markets have been open to FDI since 1976 while India opened up in 1991.

India has a terrible red-tape system that slows everything down. China has one party that controls everything.

India has so many languages and religions while China has two languages (very similar) and communism doesn't care for religion.

India is struggling with population control while China has the one-child policy (only possible in a communist setting).

    List goes on and on.

  • lol... another porki commenting on India... hahaha.

  • COOPERATE!!! not COMPITATE!!! BOTH COUNTRIES ARE FUTURE LEADERS!

  • stop comparing China and India. Among the so called BRICK countries, China is in the league of its own in almost all fields. People, sooner or later you will have to get used to the comparison between China and US.

  • @bushangels You're darn right.

  • Overpopulation is the main problem for both countries.

  • Yes true, but China has got the one child law, while as I know India's population is still growing fast.

  • Most Indians have 2 kids. We are taught in school to have 2 kids and no more. No forcible birth control, but education does a lot. Almost all my friends have only 2 kids and I am planning on stopping with 2 kids too.

Well, the uneducated population and the Muslims in particular are a different story. They find it religiously offensive if you ask them to control fertility.

  • the pictures from 4:00 to 4:10 seem came form Indonesia but not china.

  • khedarf untill 2020 india wont be india..lol.. it will be a part of pakistan.. and yes after that see pakistan then...

  • @systematic91

    Keep dreaming

  • pakistan,,sorry puusistan..banega hindustan

    pakistan sucks

  • i totally agree with you.

  • U keep dreaming sleeping on Zaid Hamid's dick .When u wake up ,u will see,u and ur ass hole people r begging to china and India.

  • lol you lost so much hope that now u find it funny. yea i guess the pathetic situation in india is laughable.

  • Do you guys know every year India is pulling 40MILLION people out of poverty???? Chinas progress has been done by the govt not by the people whereas in India the people decide first and India has only been growing fast for 15 years whereas China has been growing for 30 years.

Wait til 2020 and see India then.

  • Get some facts and read some history.

    1. India is a highly diverse country with multiple languages, religions, and tribes.

    2. India and Pakistan were occupied by UK for more than 100 years during which the wealth has been systematically taken away. But we have to accept that this occupation enabled us with new technology advancements and learning an additional language.

    3. During the first few decades after independence India adopted a more leftist policy which helped the politicians

  • Post 1991 since the economy has opened up for global businesses we have grown. Yes, poverty is there. We are a nation where work is in progress. We are not claiming to be the best but working towards competing with the best.

Please read ranking of top technological institutes and you will find all the IITs in the top 100 globally.

What is now required along with the business spirit and the generation which has put colonial mentality behind them is transparency in governance.

  • With the new RTI in place and a whole host of e governance initiatives in most of the states we can achieve transparency over a period of time.

While these are the strengths, islamic terrorism, naxalism are some threats which we face.

  • But we have to admit that China is far far ahead in terms of development. I think single party rule, single language and strong political will helped them immensely.

We definitely cannot compare China and India. China is certainlly a super power

  • @snarays1967 I am not sure if China is a super power yet. Plus, China is not aiming to become a super power anyway. China just want to be able to defend itself and stand up for what it stands for. China is not going to build up military bases around world to reflect its muscle and dectect what others should do and not to do as long as others don't interfere with China's internal affairs.

  • @snarays1967 I agree with what you said, except for "I think single party rule, single language and strong political will helped them immensely." This could very well also be their downfall.

  • @snarays1967 india does not need to be a superpower why would they be a superpower

  • @robertocalor what the west are going to do about china rise? military mean? do you think operation Barbarossa 2 will open soon ?.

  • its not even worth it to talk about the crushing levels of poverty in india, its just too embarassing. i have seen more than enough videos on youtube. editing articles on wikipedia will not feed the hungry children.

  • *DEFEATED

  • lol apart from the horrible poverty in india, this is the situation:

recently china ATTACKED and OCCUPIED 10 km inside india border area. they have gained the upper hill position just above the indian army base.

2000 manipuri soldiers DEFETED 55,000 indian soldiers in the latest freedom struggle in north east india.

160 million muslims in india are going to start ARMED RESISTANCE using guns and explosives against india for their own freedom struggle.

  • ha ha funny man......

  • Good video in analysing.

  • how many more indians are still fighting hunger than chinese?

  • comparing a country like china to a worse than third world country like india is a joke.

  • A 7.9% economic growth rate, the only country predicted to continue growing at over 5% for the next 50 years, the 3rd most powerful military (according to the CIA), a poverty rate that has been on the decline fore several decades, the most IT jobs in all of Asia, predicted to do better in any global economic hardship that most other nations (including China), yea that's worse than 3rd world. That's just terrible isn't it?

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOL

"predicted to do better than most nations" bwahahahahah

    just fuck off man

  • Yea, I notice ou ignored everything I said, took one line and laughed. What's that even supposed to mean. If you have something useful to say than say it, otherwise just shut up and keep your idiotic and pointless comment to yourself.

  • listen i am not going to waste time discussing stuff from a retarded loudmouth. the whole world knows the reality of india, watch some videos on the poverty in india.

    dont bother replying jackass

  • Yea, Im the idiot. I bring up facts and numberas and all you bring is your opinion. I never said India isn't poor, but don't think China is ages ahead. Im not even saying India is ahead of China, Im saying you're an idiot for throwing India aside like that, and unless you can actually prove a thing or bring up any numbers to dispute what I said, then your the idiot here. You start swearin and laughin before I said a thing besides a few simple facts- shows you know nothing and have nothing to say

  • cant be a expert to talk crap

  • Some of the invited experts are just talking about shit...

  • The notion that india is in the same league as china is pure fairytale. China as a developing nation plays in its own league and no amount of hype is gonna change that. watch?v=EfY1ISdABSw to get a scientific reason to why that is and then you'll understand why india has been left behind in china's dust.

  • India is rising but China has been far more developed. So there is no sense to talk about India and China at the same level. But it is definitely a positive thing that both Asian powers are rising.

  • indian shouldnt be so much pro americans and join up with china ... westernes have dominated this world for long enough

  • @wikct2 Moreover, China did that in less time. How long has it been since India's Independence? How much time has passed when Deng Xiao Ping came to power?

  • @wikct2 There is no proud in self-praising either. It is to be left on others to decide which country they find better for them. China started its development far adhead of India, but India is accelerating. In short span of time, it has shown huge changes. China obviously has a stronger infrustructure over India, but that is not counted as development. If you compare the job markets, salaries and living standards of these two countries, you will find they are almost the same.

  • @werewolfvsvamp Well, who is doing self-praising? I am pointing out that China is ahead of India at the present time. I am not saying that India will not catch up China and how long that will take to achieve that. And I certainly hope, no matter what will happen to both countries, they will work together to benefit each other rather than against each other. It is time for Asia works for Asians. It is time for Asians get out of the control of western powers.

  • @wikct2 Good, but you sounded different in your previous comment. If this is your motive, I am glad to know that you think this way. Do you have any idea how to work with each other?

  • @werewolfvsvamp

without stronger infrastructure, China would not have the adequate supply chain logistics transportation port terminal system to become the world's biggest factory hotspot.

Infrastructure = Development. Without infrastrucutre, you can't get rich. honestly.

  • @Phead128 Let me tell u sth;according to Swiss Bank report (available on internet),India has deposited $1.5 trillion which is far more than the money combindly deposited by the USA,the UK,Germany,China, etc.Swiss Bank was surprized and said in it's report that how this country could be developing if they have so much money & they said to declare the names of the people who have deposited this money in Swiss Bank, but why our corrupt politicians will ask for it if the money is deposited by them.

  • @Phead128 This is just the Swiss Bank, imagine other foreigne banks where corrupt Indian politicians have account.Other exmp.,millions of illegal migrants from Bangladesh/Pakistan,etc r living in India bcz in their own countries life is very hard.Generally they live in slums doing petty things,e.g.,selling things on the street, pulling rickshaw, crime.u can see them everywhere in India.Corrupt ministers legalized them to take their votes to remain in power.

  • @werewolfvsvamp untrue, us pakis will never even come close in india. Pakistan is better!

  • @Phead128 So to see a real change in India u need to change these corrupt politicians who use media to confuse their own people. If they want, they really can change India within a year. There is no problem with natural resources and talented man-power.Infrustructure is not a big deal.

  • @werewolfvsvamp

    Infrastructure not a BIG DEAL?

That is the main deal, Infrastructure makes good and services done much more efficienltly, with lesser cost which will thereby contribute to the economy.

  • @Sasukekillsitachi You replied my 4 month old comment now, and you reply nonsense without even understanding what I wrote above. I saw you are quite young and want to comment online about countries, infastructure, politics, etc. Come on, it is ur age to entertain urself with video games, comics, etc. Anyway, just to be clear in my old comment I meant that infrastructure ain't a big deal if corrupt politicians really want to change it. It is a big deal if they don't want to spend money on it.

  • @Sasukekillsitachi i agree with u, in china, people have a words: u must build the road if u want to be rich.

  • @werewolfvsvamp

"Infrustructure is not a big deal"

Why don't you defecate out in open like 800 million poor, illiterate Indians do everyday and then tell me if Infrastructure is a big deal??? LOL The problem with independent thinking is that it's God given, and if one is not gifted with this ability....it is not something a government can give to you!

  • @666AmericanFreedom First u comment on my 1 year old comment.I had to re-read to understand what was it about.Secondly,ur question is nth new.It was already discussed up there & I had answered it (Check in my comments).Third, why don't u eat Indian shit if u r so curious about India & Indians defecating? If u want they can serve u some spicy shit in plate and u can feed urself.Motherfucker, this video has nth to do with ur country. It has to do with India & China. So fuck off & focus on ur own shit.

  • @werewolfvsvamp

sorry man INFRASTRUCTURE is the main problem of India. Everything in India would be much faster and more efficient with better Infrastructure and technology.

  • @Sasukekillsitachi Yes I agree with you, but I guess you misunderstood my comment above. I meant that infrastructure is not a big deal (i.e., not a big deal to be changed) if Indian politicians wanted to bcz financially, technically, by talented man power they are capable to do it. Only thing what is stopping it to take place is corruption which by current situation seems is at it's peak.People of India seems to be fighting it,& hopefully soon they will overcome it.

  • @wikct2 man, we can compare ..as indian political system is much more stable than chinese . what u r saying is right but my friend in hurry china has missed many thing..political stability means economic stability .. slow and steady always win the race ..china may become a developed economy before india but when india will reach there they wil be far ahead from china ...one more thing as there is one child child rule now china has most no of aged people in world while india has more teen ager

  • @TheMandy0123 haha, china's political are more stable.its only one party sitting in there.in contrast, indian politics make a lot headlines in the newspaper.which system is more stable?you know that

  • @240kankan is it though, on the one level China gets things done, but is does it at the price of peoples own rights to greater freedoms. It controls information and what gets out into the world. On the index of state stability (failed state index) China ranks as a relatively less stable entity.

  • @kumarsa108 you are joking."China initiated reforms to open up its economy decades before India".thats what you said.china opened up the economy in 1985.how about india?england left their political system many many years ago.if you have checked the data in 1990s,you would have known that china was no better than india then.

  • @240kankan No i am not joking, it started economic reforms in 1978. English political system has nothing to do with it and China was not occupied. India's economic approach was a socialist one based on self sufficeny that began to change in 1991. You are also mixing up concepts of freedom and resource.

  • @kumarsa108 china finished chaos in 1978.the gdp growth between the year 1950 and 1978 is 0 or evern worse than 0.it takes years to figure out a much sutiable system in china.by the year 1985,china's opening-up policy was carried in some coastal cities.the year 1978 is when we finished political chaos.the year 1985 is when we carried out our economical reform.check this out futher.

  • @240kankan it is a similar process for any country to move from one ideology and political sytem to another. One can change the ideology towards a new economic approach, but the results take time to show fruition. I dont disagree with you on that.

  • @wikct2

That is because you have no corruption.

  • I wonder what will happen if India and Chine join hands...

  • it will only happen in your sweet dream.

  • Yeah... I know.. but its gonna rock my dream's world :P

  • huh????? when? WTF!!! Quit being racist and get your facts right!

  • there is no cold war. that is only in your evil dreams. suck my dick now little bitch.

  • Stop making non-sense and stop spread diseases. India and China should be friendly to each other. Don't fall into the trap setup by the West. They don't want to see the rising of Asian powers. They don't want to give up their domination of the world easily.

  • tokyo has more people than ALL of canada

  • Haha really? Nice fact :D

  • i wasnt being serious lol

tokyo's population is about 12.7 mil

    canada's population is 33 mil

    thats still pretty crazy!!

  • What about Bombay or Delhi's population?

  • Dehli's is a little less than 12 mil

    Mumbai's (Bombays) is a little over 13mil

  • this is the only vid that involves china and india without a spat...

  • "significant problems with infrastructure"... What an understatement of the century about India.

  • Yes, we have infrastructural problems but not as much as this person describes -.-

  • Asia is such an exciting place for business today. The development in the past decade is truly phenomenal!

  • It would be interesting to hear of small businesses exporting to these booming industries and their experiences. It'd also be interesting to see their growth.

  • It really is quite daunting when you think about the potential for growth in these areas - mind blowing!

  • This style of video is quite different from other yBC shows. It's quite cool!

  • I need to see this for myself!

  • I always find it amazing when you hear about cities throughout the world that have a bigger population than your own country. Our COUNTRY is approximately 4.2 million. I would get lost in China!
