Paul London does do the SSP better than Kidman. Kidman's SSP has always been really sloppy. But Evan Bourne/Matt Sydal has THE best Shooting Star Press in wrestling today. No one does it more crisp and correctly than he does.

That SSP wasn't that sloppy.. That was part of the story.. He was supposed to land knees on the ribs.. Plenty of his are sloppy, because he bulked up a lot and just isn't that aerodynamic when big.. I have another view on the things. Sydal's moveset IS limited, but the thing is...if he had someone to WORK with he'd be a lot better. Look at all the douchebags he has to work with. Henry, Big Show, Swagger. None of them can just squeeze moves out of Evan. Only guys that can are Noble and Rey. Maybe even Kofi. STILL Evan's great to watch. I always liked Kidman. He was a little bland, but he could work with almost anyone and he had not only a great look but great size too, especially for a cruiserweight.

I wish they had gone further with Kidman when they had him sitting in the crowd acting heelish and watching matches with a superior attitude (this was an angle they briefly ran on Smackdown with him back in I think it was 2003, in case you don't know what I'm talking about).

And to be totally honest with you, I feel London has been terribly under-utilized and under-appreciated in his stint with WWE. I've followed London in the Indy scene and through his ROH days and he has some masterful work to his credit. And I believe if Kidman/London were to have a match outside the constraints of a WWE style match, I think London would wrestle circles around Kidman. Just my opinion.

Kidman is terrible. This match gives a side by side view of how much better London is than Kidman.

Kidman has to drag his opponent under the turnbuckle to even have a chance at landing his SSP! He looks like he just falls off the ropes and just crashes into his opponent where ever he happens to come down.

London can spring off of those loose WWE ropes away from the buckle, tuck, rotate and still layout for a press before impact. He has control, precision, hangtime. He's just flat out better!
