In addition to the screenplay, the things that make this film are the narration - which comes across as if it's addressing children, the cinematography - which is mostly ambient light with lush shadows and highlights, and the performances of the entire cast all of which are flawless. Just remarkable, because it goes in split second from laughter to deep tragic shock without affecting the credibility of the story, back and forth. Every actor has been brilliantly directed and it is a gallery of portrays, not just two actors leading the story. This is one of the best and yet strangest films I have ever seen. It had me enthralled from the beginning. The characters in the film are well written and well acted. The story is very artsy but the message is disturbing. It is the equivalent of looking at a Van Gogh painting. Watch this masterpiece on Popcornfreak

Having seen the low consciousness of most of these films that deal with suicide, I thought I'd be in for another ride to oblivion.
