while the video was great, the terminology is wrong. That is a twisted fall, not a dread. A dread is backcombed, and then twisted and sealed. There is a difference, and it does matter. Your work is beautiful, and i'm sure everyone is happy with it. But you really should call a dread a dread, and a twisted fall a twisted fall.
thax...i just got my hair permed...its nice and all but i want to go dramatic..but without paying alot for wavy extra long hair. i want to some how to clip them into the the lower back of my head...but i want them like 36inches long....i bought the hairdo by simpson...NEVER AGAIN...
yup! just take the braiding synthetice hair and braid it tight and neat. then turn around and tie the end off with a rubber band and dip it in hot boilding water. set in ther for like 20 seconds then take out and place on dry towel and cool off. u braid the braid and now its wavy! anything else feel free to ask!
the boiling water was for the read. when you take synthetic hair and dip it, it makes it more shine-e. so then i comb it out just a lil to make it look nice and twist it. and it hides the naps and makes it look all nice and shine-e.
yea not to use kanekalon. i have had used it and didnt like the way it came out. it was to much work to seal it! and its a dread twist or wtfe its all the same......
@HairByRaymond actually, it's not. They aren't even remotely the same, down to the type of hair used for each. I've been making these for years. One is a dread, and one is a twist. Dreads by the very name are matted/backcombed, while twists are not.
dam now we are really getting tech-e on the terms use for it! weather its a twist dread or a dread. a dread is a dread! i dont back come for shyt i dip twist and seal! weather in twisting two strands or all together. if the fall has both then its a dread fall! call it what you want everyone has there one words for everything
No, this isn't a case of having a different term. I'm telling you, the terminology is completely wrong. Calling a weave extensions could be a case of just switching terminology. A dread, by it's very nature, is BACKCOMBED. If you aren't utilizing BACKCOMBING, then you aren't making any sort of a DREAD. And if your Falls have only twists, then they are referred to was twist falls. If you sold them on ebay as dreadfalls, your customer is going to be very unhappy when they find out.
Amazing, however, I'll only use this method to make candycaned dreads, because I don't want my dread to look all swirly like that. Ya know? ;) Good job.
i really love the dreads you make i have a lil problem with mine tho how do you keep them in your hair. i know you put the dreads on elasticated string but how do you keep them on =S
nope! been doing it alot and its fine but i wouldnt use your best one. i bought some cheap on for 20 bucks at the hair store not walmart
