Lol! I love the confusion surrounding who did this bassline! I was surprised how few songs Pino featured on Voodoo. Left & Right, one of my favorite grooves; it's D on Bass Keyboard. I think that's the same for a lot of Brown Sugar, too. If you want a real treat, search out D'angelo live @ Stockholm, then you'll know Pino is running things! It's insane!
woooo I see some vanilla that has a lot of soul go ahead ; )

you should look for live video or audio of the D'angelo Voodoo tour. The live version of "Brown Sugar" is badass. Lots of cool variations by Pino.

Can you post some links on the video?

Seriously though....
1. Pino Palladino isn't playing bass on that track.
2. Why do I want to listen to you play the bass line, when your not even taking it anywhere.
3. You need to stop dancing around and listen to yourself.
4. Keep working on it!

I'm not understand, what do you mean, when you said: "Why do I want to listen to you play the bass line, when your not even taking it anywhere."
I think I play the same bass line that on the album version with few difference.
